Masquerade
It always happen so fast
In the blink of an eye they pass
Your memories of joy they collapse
What unfolds before you,
Is the tragedy behind the mask
Short stories of broken memories
They pull back and steal your mind
They taint you with pain
A pain that stays from the forgotten past
A hologram of the abandoned
They seize your bliss
In the eye of your emotion
They capture you
Bury you to misery
They do not allow your triumph
For they hide behind the corners
Of your masquerade
And you let them
The darkness consumes you
Your tears they leak
And still you hid to deceive
