"Addy. Addy, wake up!" I was shaken awake by none other than Scarhead.

"Ha- Harry? What's up?" I asked sleepily. Outside the tent I heard screams and yells.

"I don't even know, but we have to get out of here," he said, answering none of the questions flying through my mind as he pulled me out of bed and I banged my head on the frame of the bunk.

"Watch the head! Where are we going?" I moaned as he dragged me out of the tent, pulling my coat around my shoulders. Suddenly I found myself facing horror. There were poor old children who I assumed were muggles hanging upside down and being tortured, fires burning and men in masks walking around the place in groups.

"Oh my-"I began.

"That's sick," Ron muttered behind, watching the smallest Muggle child, who had begun to spin like a top, sixty feet above the ground, his head flopping limply from side to side.

"That is really sick. . . ."

"Addy, thank goodness you're here. Fred, George, Ginny is your responsibility. Go to the portkey, we'll meet you there. Come on Bill, Charlie, we have to help the ministry." Mr. Weasley interrupted me as he dragged the boys off into the crowd and I was dragged off by Harry into the woods.

The woods were utter darkness, and I kept walking into Hermione in front of me. Then, I heard Ron yell in pain. Hermione stopped so abruptly I walked into her and fell backwards into Harry.

"Ron?" called Hermione into the dark, then she turned to trip over me and Harry on the floor. Soon we were all a big heap.

"Oh this is stupid. Lumos!" she pulled out her wand as we got up and found Ron lying on the floor.

"Tripped over a tree root," he said angrily, getting to his feet again.

"Well, with feet that size, hard not to," said a drawling voice from behind us.

The four of us turned sharply and were greeted by Draco Malfoy. I began cursing under my breath and Ron told Malfoy to do something that I knew he would never have dared say in front of Mrs. Weasley.

"Language, Weasley," said Malfoy, his pale eyes glittering. "Hadn't you better be hurrying along, now? You wouldn't like her spotted, would you?"He nodded at Hermione.

"What's that supposed to mean?" said Hermione defiantly.

"Granger, they're after Muggles,"said Malfoy. "D'you want to be showing off your knickers in midair? Because if you do, hang around... they're moving this way, and it would give us all a laugh."

"Hermione's a witch," Harry snarled.

"Have it your own way, Potter," said Malfoy, grinning maliciously. "If you think they can't spot a Mudblood, stay where you are."

"You watch your mouth!" I shouted. Everybody present knew that "Mudblood" was a very offensive term for a witch or wizard of Muggle parentage.

"Never mind, Addy," said Hermione quickly, seizing Ron's arm to restrain him as he tried to pounce on Malfoy.

There came a bang from the other side of the trees that was louder than anything I had heard. Several people nearby screamed. I covered my ears. Malfoy chuckled softly.

"Scare easily, don't they?" he said lazily. "I suppose your daddy told you all to hide? What's he up to - trying to rescue the Muggles?"

"Where're your parents?" said Harry, his temper rising clearly visible on his face. "Out there wearing masks, are they?"
