"I'm so sorry,"
"It's fine,"
"I really am, sorry,"
"Harry, I'm trying to eat my breakfast!"
"Sorry,"
"Stop apologising!" I rolled my eyes, taking a mouthful of cereal.
"How are you so chill about everything?" Harry glanced over at Cedric, who was eating breakfast alone at the Hufflepuff table.
"I'm not gonna sit here crying all day," I shrugged my shoulders.
"Where's Hermione?" Harry asked, finishing up his breakfast.
"Still arguing with Ron I guess," I said, biting my lips like I usually did.
"You should stop that, you know," Harry eyed my raw lips. "They're bleeding," he sighed, smearing the blood from my lips with his finger.
"Whatever," I finished eating as the owls came. I spotted my black owl, Olive, gliding towards me and smiled. Rhydian had written.
Taking the letter from her beak I absent-mindedly stoked her beautiful plumage as I read the messily written letter:
Dear Addy,
Hey Adds, how did the ball go? I haven't heard from you since you told me you were going with Cedric Diggory. I hope it went alright. If it didnt, then one word from you and I'll kill Cedric myself, Hogwarts Champion or not.
Speaking of Hogwarts Champions, how's Harry doing? I couldn't make it to watch the first task, but I can assure you I'll be there for the third.
Look out for him, Adds. He's like a little brother to me. Stick close. I hate to go all serious but you lot are in danger this year, all the death eaters are within the castle. Hogwarts isn't safe anymore... not that it ever was.
Have fun. Tell Harry I said good luck for the second task.
Write soon, miss you loads little sis,
Rhydian
Sighing, I turned over the parchment and hastily scribbled a reply.
Hey Rhyds,
The Ball? Not so good. Remind me to steer clear of boy drama in the future. But I'm not going into that.
As for the tasks, I'm seriously worried, bro. I keep getting nightmares that Harry's dying and its my fault.
I'll write properly later, I've got to head to History Of Magic. Hooray.
Love,
Addy
I gave the letter to Olive, then me and Harry headed to A History Of Magic.
As professor Binns droned on about some Goblin Riot, I doodled on the margins of my parchment, knowing that Hermione would be taking notes for me. Today's lecture was especially boring and I wasn't getting caught anywhere near it.
"Pack your things away," the four beloved words finally came out of Binns' mouth as I stuffed my things into my backback and headed out of the classroom with the other three.
As we made our way down the corridor a hand gripped my arm, pulling me back.
"Ari- Ariadne sorry, could I have a word?"
I yanked away from Cedric's grip and hurried after Hermione, while Ron and Harry passed death glares at Cedric.
"Ari, please. Wait!" He followed me across the castle.
