HARRY

"Bella." My voice booms through the apartment as I shove the front door open. Maverick quickly jumps up from his spot on the floor and hurries over to me.

He follows hot on my heels into the kitchen and then down the hallway to our bedroom. She's not here.

I hastily run my fingers through my hair, looking around the room to plan out my next move. She explicitly said that she doesn't want to see me, but I really don't see myself letting that stop me.

I just need to talk to her. But I can't do that because she didn't answer any of my damn calls on the way over here.

That's when an idea clicks in my head. She's not answering my calls, but maybe her best friend will. I quickly pull my phone out again to call Jessica.

"Hello?" She picks up on the second ring.

"I need to speak to her." I say right away.

"Harry?" Jessica's voice sounds confused. "What's going on?"

"Look, I know that she doesn't wanna talk, but I don't care." I tell her honestly.

"Harry, what are you talking about?"

"Jessica, I know that Bella's there, and I need to talk to her."

"Bella's not here." She tells me, still sounding very confused. I glance over at the clock by my bed. Maybe Bella is still driving.

"Well, can you call me as soon as she does get there because she's not answering my calls?"

"Why would Bella be here?" Jessica responds to my question with a question.

For some reason, Jessica's question makes my heart start pounding quickly. Did Bella not tell her that she was on her way there?

I spin around the room, frantically trying to figure out what's going on. When I do that, my eyes catch on Bella's suitcase sitting in the corner. She wouldn't have left for Jessica's without taking a bag of clothes along with her.

Did she really leave?

I keep the phone pressed to my ear as I rush out of the room and back down the hallway. My eyes scan over to the key hook by the front door. Her keys are gone.

"Harry? Is everything okay?" Jessica's voice penetrates my ears, and I shake my head, trying to refocus my attention.

"Yeah, um...everything's fine. Sorry to bother you." I lie to her before hanging up the phone.

Everything is most certainly not fine.

If Bella isn't at Jessica's like she said she would be, and she's not here, then where the hell is she?

BELLA

My heavy head falls forward, causing me to open my eyes slowly. Fatigue radiates through my body, and I breathe deeply as my brain begins to wake up. I want desperately to rub my tired eyes with my hands, but I can't. It doesn't matter how hard I try, I can't seem to move my hands.

I begin to panic when my eyes fully open and I take in the environment around me. I'm in a dimly lit room with cement walls and floors. There are no windows. Only a large door in front of me.

The chair that I'm sitting in is old, and it squeaks as I try to free myself from it. But I can't. I can't because my wrists are tied around the arms of the chair while my feet are tied around the legs.

Where the hell am I?

My mind flashes back to the club. Derek. My brother. Chloroform. And now I'm here.
