The following morning Lucky gave me a full tour of the mansion. It had, undeniably, the most elegant decor that I had ever seen. It even surpassed my mother's boss' home. From chandeliers to balconies and even a ballroom. I was scared to ask how old this place was. It had over one hundred rooms and was four stories high. No wonder his father used it as a hotel.
Lucky and I sat down on a wooden bench next to a stone water fountain. The garden in front of the mansion was vast and breathtaking with blooming flowers and trees placed carefully together. It was like I was in paradise.
The mansion was placed in the middle of nowhere, and Lucky had informed me that it is cloaked from human eyes if anyone ever found it. A witch had cloaked it. Somehow the existence of witches didn't faze me. I was dating a demon after all.
"Brielle, my father is expected to be home anytime now." he said as he leaned forward with his elbows on his knees. He clasped his hands together. I was dreading this conversation. I didn't know what was going to happen. Lucky's father didn't want any humans knowing about his secret, and I wasn't an exception.
"He's gonna kill me, isn't he?" I asked quietly as I fiddled with my fingers.
"No!" he exclaimed quickly. "No, I won't let anyone bring harm to you, baby girl. I promise." he wrapped his arms around me and lifted me onto his lap. I blushed and glanced around us. We always had to hide our relationship and I wasn't sure if we still did. We couldn't even hold hands before, let alone kiss in public.
"Lucky, someone might see," I started to wiggle my legs to get off of him but his large hand gripped my thigh and held me in place.
"Then let them see," he murmured against my neck. "I want everyone to know you're mine. I'm not hiding you anymore, darling." he trailed his lips down my throat. My breathing escalated as his hand started to slowly inch up my thigh. I grabbed it right before it could go under my skirt. He growled before smashing his lips against mine. I gasped in surprise and the action allowed him to slip his tongue inside my mouth.
Kissing him was heavenly.
I placed a hand on his chest to catch my breath and noticed how he didn't even seem fazed. His stamina was amazing, I figured that out a few nights ago under the sheets. Heat pooled on my cheeks at the memory.
"Back to the problem at hand," I cleared my throat before fixing my skirt on my lap. "What are we going to do when your father gets back? Do we have to leave? What's everyone at the boarding school going to think? We both left at the same time, that's gotta look a little suspicious. Not to mention-"
"Brielle, my love, calm down." Lucky quickly cut off my nervous blabber. I inhaled a deep breath before gazing into his eyes. "My father is going to be more occupied with the Mr. Knight situation, if he's going to do anything about you, he won't do it right away, so we have time to assess our options." he spoke softly as he rubbed my leg reassuringly.
"Are you sure?" I asked anxiously. I was only eighteen, I really didn't want to die at such a young age.
"Yes, darling." he smiled and brushed a strand of hair out of my face. His touch sent a wave of reassurance through me. I wondered how he could calm me so easily? It must've been his abilities.
"Okay," I smiled and sighed in relief. I was way too stressed lately. I needed a vacation.
We both turned our heads as we heard the click of heels approaching us. Marisole rounded the corner of the mansion. I quickly tried to scramble off of Lucky's lap but he held me in place.
