~8am~
Georgia told me something last night, I didn't know if I believed her.
'Actor' was a strong word. I'm not cut out for that.
I've loved theatre since I was little, and I've always wanted to do it... But now the opportunity might have come, and I'm doubting my abilities."G, you up?" I roll over and ask her. She slept with me last night as it was colder that expected.
"Yeah.. what time are we leaving today?" She whispers. I quickly grab my phone from the side to check.
"SHIT" I shout and jump from the covers.
"WE HAVE TO LEAVE IN 10 MINUTES"
Georgia rolls from the bed and runs straight to the bathroom. I hear her rustling through bags, most likely packing.I rush and throw my clothes in the suitcase.
"JOSH" I yell, running to the door, slinging it open and bashing on his.
He comes to the door in underwear and bed hair.
"What .." he says sleepily.
I huff to catch my breath.
"We're leaving in 5 minutes! Get the fuck ready!" He giggles a little.
"Bren.. it's only 8.." I step back a little and tilt my head.
"Yeah! Exactly"
"We don't leave until 9. The plane isn't until 1" Josh slowly begins to close his door as I walk away. Georgia was still running around the bathroom, throwing everything into a small pink bag."Georgia... We're not leaving for another hour. I got it wrong" I confess, sitting down on the bed.
"What the fuck Bren" she says, emerging from the bathroom.
"Language"
"So you mean to tell me, I've sloppily packed all of this... For no reason"
"No, no, there is a reason. By packing all of that, it now makes it easier later when we have to pack up again" I smile slightly.
She groans and throws herself on the bed face first."Fuck sake" she grunts. I hit her playfully. I didn't actually mind her using bad language, it was quite entertaining. I just like to piss her off.
"So we're leaving at 9 then? Okay.. imma sleep" she rolls herself under the covers and closes her eyes. I lay down next to her and place my arm around her waist. She smiles a little... Before I begin to tickle her.
"Dad! Please! Stop!" She laughs. I continue until she falls off the bed and onto the floor.
"Thanks for that" she jokes, rubbing the back of her head as if she were in pain.
"Anytime baby" I wink at her and giggle.~8:45am~
"Okay, I'd suggest packing now.. we've got about 15 minutes before we leave" I say to Georgia who was playing on her phone.
"Cheers for the notice" she smiles and walks into the bathroom again."So what actually are the plans for today then?" Georgia calls out. Josh emerges from the front door and places his bags down on the side. He motions for me to be quiet.
"Uh, getting a plane to New York, then getting a Taxi to the Al Hirschfeld Theatre... From there, I have no idea" Josh stood behind the door of the bathroom.
"Right.. so, it's pretty much a holiday.. for one day?.. so literally.. a holi-day" she laughs at herself.
"You're so funny..." I reply sarcastically."Hey, G, come look at this" I call out, taking my phone from my pocket to make it look like I actually found something. Georgia comes out from the bathroom.
Josh jumps infront of her and kisses her lips.
"Oh. Baby!" She shouts in shock, and kisses back. They fall back against the wall, her hands running down his back. Josh's hand on the side of her face, and the other on her waist. Their bodies intertwined as the kiss deepened."I'd prefer you not to do that to my daughter while I'm still in presence." I say in the background. Georgia pushes Josh away and throws herself on the bed.
"Dadddddd, you make everything awkward" she giggles. Josh stood smiling.
"That's why you love me" I wink at her as she raises her head.
"Anyway. We'd better get going, it's nearly time for the taxi to pick us up" Josh says, grabbing his bags and standing by the door.
Georgia rushed back into the bathroom and throws the bags into her suitcase
"Off to the Big Apple!" She yells.
