"Where have you been yb/n?!" Your mother yelled at you as soon as you entered the door. Her voice was coming from the living room. You shuffled over to your parents.

"I worked over time." You answered weakly. Something bad was bound to happen. Something always did when your parents were around.

"What's your job again?" You father asked.

"I do lawn work. It pays good, remember?" You tried to head to your room.

"Wait", she ordered you. "It doesn't look like you were. Your all clean." Your mom pointed out. She got off the couch and circled around you, inspecting every inch. "And just where did you get that shirt?" Your parents knew every article of guy clothing you had. They bought them for you because they wanted you to wear a certain style, and Aoi t-shirt was not their style.

Your mom stopped circling and stopped right in front of you. She glared up into your eyes. Something bad was definitely going to happen. Your dad stood up from the couch now too. He was only a short distance away.

Your mother's mouth opened into a scowl. "Boys don't sleep with boys."

You were quick to answer. "I never did that. I would nev-" you were interrupted by a slap to the face. You stepped back and held your cheek. You were sure there was a big red handprint there.

Your dad walked over with the same menacing look. Your eyes widened and you took a step back. "You are a boy", he growled. He punched your stomach. You held back your cough. "Boys are tough", he punched the other side of your face. You held in your groan. "Boys are strong", he punched your stomach again. You doubled over. He went to punch again, but you caught it. You father smiled for a moment, then swung his other fist. "Nice catch. You still have some learning to do." He punch again but you ducked. He swung faster and harder. This once caught you. You crippled and fell in and out of conciseness as he kicked and hit.

It continued like that for many hours, well into the night. Your mother just stood by and watched. It was painful both mentally and physically. Why would someone do something like this to you? What did you do to deserve this life? Would you be better off not living?

Thoughts like that entered and your mind during that night, and they wouldn't leave. Not even days after it happened. But that night wasn't new to you, it's happened before. That's what is sad about it.

You did go to school the next day. You walked in with bandages and bruises everywhere.
