1 ↠ first day of school

Chapter 1

*beep beep beep*

I wake up to the familiar sound of my alarm clock. Then, realizing it's the first day of school, I jump out of bed.

I change into the perfect outfit. My black pencil skirt will match perfectly with my new combat boots.

"Mom!" I yell.

"MOOOOOOMMMM!" I yell even louder.

Then, I remember that she starts work today. She has probably already left, so I go downstairs to make my own breakfast.

I open the fridge and sigh. There is absolutely nothing to eat.

I see some milk on the top shelf and decide to just have cereal.

I poured my cereal, then ran outside to catch the bus.

Once I've boarded the bus, I look around for Josh.

"Chlo! Come sit with me!" I hear Josh call from the back.

I make my way down the isle and take my seat next to Josh.

"Hey Chloe! How was your break?" Josh asks sweetly.

"Perfect, but I missed you," I state.

"Me too," he says, looking into my eyes.

"Everyone, open your history books to page 254 and start taking notes," Ms. Jones, my teacher, states.

Everyone groans, except for me. In contrast to everyone else, I actually enjoy school.

"Pass this note to Chloe." I hear Josh whisper from behind me.

Someone taps on my shoulder and I turn around.

I smile at them and take the note.

It reads:

Chloe,

I missed you so much this summer, so we need to spend more time together. Can you come over after school? Meet me on the basketball court and we can walk back to my house.

Love,

Josh

I turn around and smile after reading the note. I give him a slight nod and he smiles back.

I'm so lucky to have Josh as my boyfriend. He is the only person who always cares about me and knows when I need to spend time with someone.

After having a whole break off with only Josh part of the time, now is the perfect time to spend time with him again.
