I hope that didn't sound bossy.

"Sure," she responds, opening a drawer and then handing me my schedule.

"Thanks!" I say, then walk out of the office.

I have math first period in room 213 so I make my way to the 200's hallway. I'm a little bit late since I had to get my schedule.

I finally find the room I'm looking for and take a deep breath. Then, I open the door and walk inside.

Chapter 12

I open the door and look around the room. There's only one chair open, so I assume it's mine.

I quickly take my seat as my teacher gives me an evil glare. I bite my lip, but try to look sweet so I don't get on her bad side.

I glance to my right and my heart skips a beat. The hottest boy ever is sitting next to me.

"No Chloe! You have a boyfriend," I think to myself.

"Hi," he says.

Uh oh... He must've caught me staring at him.

"Hi! I have a boyfriend!" I blurt.

He looks confused but then starts to laugh.

Did I really just say that? I blush wildly and try to hide my face.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to embarrass you," he says sweetly.

I laugh slightly then say, " I didn't mean to say that. I don't have a boyfriend."

Crap.

I do have a boyfriend and I just said I didn't.

"You don't?" he asks.

"Uhhh... It's complicated," I say, when really it's not.

"Anyways, what's your name?" I ask, trying to change the subject.

"I'm J-" he says but is interrupted by Ms. Jones, our teacher.

"I'll begin the lesson when Jacob and Chloe stop talking," Ms. Jones says, answering my question.

I blush again, but Jacob just sits there. I'm guessing he gets in trouble a lot.

After school, Jacob comes up to me.

"Text me," he whispers in my ear and hands me a paper.

What have I gotten myself into?
