Picture in the mirror, real and clear,
My eyes are nothing I should fear,
Yet they seem strange and cold.

Wearing this makes you feel brave,
But I was never dressed in silver
And if I didn't feel brave,
I still had to be.

Picture in the mirror, illusive allure,
Make me strong, make me endure
Whatever the future holds.

Can an armour protect
My heart from breaking?
Will I be one of them,
Will I feel less alone?

Picture in the mirror, derisive lie,
Born to serve until the day I die –
This is my story told.
