Hey, guys! Hope you enjoy this chapter and happy reading!
"Jack, we've got to take her to the Hospital Wing back in Hogwarts!" Merida cried, standing up. Jack stood up too, with Galaxy still in his arms.
"Come on, I think there's a blizzard coming," Jack said, already breaking into a run. As they were running, the snow fell harder and harder, and the wind became stronger and stronger.
"Can't you stop this blizzard?" Merida shouted over the howling of the winds.
"I can't! Without my staff, I can't do it," Jack said. "And plus, I would need my hands to do it." He looked down at Galaxy, who was in nothing warm, only wearing her House robes. She stirred from her sleep and weakly opened her eyes.
"Jack?" she whispered so faintly he thought her voice would get caught in the wind.
"It's okay, I've got you. Don't worry, we're going to take you to the Hospital Wing. We'll be there in no time," Jack smiled gently down at her. "You're going to be fine."
Galaxy feebly smiled at him and closed her eyes again, going back into an uneasy sleep. At the same time, the blizzard was getting more powerful as they ran to Hogwarts.
"Jack!" Merida shouted. "Can't you fly while we hold on to you?"
Jack shook his head. "Even if we did, I wouldn't be able to navigate my way!"
"Then I guess we'll have to hurry!" Merida said.
The trip was long and tiring. They arrived at Hogwarts not a moment too soon.
"Help! Help! A student's been badly injured!" Jack shouted frantically.
The students were murmuring and whispering, all staring at the scene before them.
Jack's cheeks blazed. "Don't just stand there! Call the nurse!"
The students started clamoring and before long, the nurse came and took in Galaxy quickly. While waiting for an update, their friends had heard the news and stayed with them for the reports on Galaxy. Much to Jack's dismay, they had to wait for Galaxy's update outside of the hospital wing, for the nurse had said that any disruptions or anything of the like could upset the patients. It seemed like forever, but after a few hours the nurse ushered them in.
"She was lucky she had someone to save her," the nurse whispered, not wanting to wake Galaxy up. "She would have died in an hour if no one came to rescue her." The nurse smiled at Jack and Merida. "It's thanks to you two that she's alive." Jack smiled back, but inside he felt guilty. If it hadn't been for him, Galaxy wouldn't have gotten hurt. This mess was all of their fault. If only he'd have been more careful-
"She's right here," the nurse gestured to the sleeping Galaxy, breaking Jack out of his thoughts. "I was able to close the wound, but it's still very severe," the nurse frowned. "She might have to stay here for months. Maybe even the whole school year." Again, Jack felt remorseful for the whole thing.
"But enough about that. I'll leave you children be," the nurse smiled gently. "You can stay here as long as you want." The group nodded their thanks and they all took a seat near Galaxy's bed.
"You think she'll be okay?" Anna whispered.
"I don't know. The nurse is pretty skeptical that she'll ever be normal again after this," Merida said.
"Can't you heal her with your hair?" Anna turned to Rapunzel, her eyes pleading.
Rapunzel shook her head sadly. "I can't heal things with magical abilities. The wound can become much worse than it is now."
Anna cried into Kristoff's arms. Jack looked at Elsa, wondering how she felt all about this. Even though she was known for concealing her true emotions, he was still a bit off guard when he noticed her calmly and quietly staring at her friend, holding her hand as though she would never let go.
"Elsa," Jack said. "Are you okay?"
Elsa looked up and smiled weakly. "Of course. The nurse said that Galaxy will be fine in the end, so it'll turn out for the better. t's just a shock that she-" she stopped when she looked at Galaxy's pale face. Elsa's face suddenly fell and she started sniffling, and then sobbing. She started shaking uncontrollably. Jack took her in his arms and rocked her, letting her cry as much as she wanted.
"This isn't supposed to be happening to someone here at Hogwarts," she cried. "This can't be true. Who would do such a thing? Why would someone do this to a person? " Jack winced at her words.
"Actually I can think of one reason...," Jack said.
Elsa stopped crying and sat back up, looking straight into his eyes.
"Jack Frost, what have you done?!" she shouted, her eyes wide with shock and fear. The others had to shush her to keep quiet. "What did you do? Answer me now!" Elsa said.
Jack squirmed in his seat. "The truth is... it was me who shot her with the arrow," he confessed. As Elsa looked at him in shock, he quickly explained more. "Merida and I were doing archery in the woods. We got into a quarrel with the bow and arrow and then I accidentally made Merida let go of the arrow. The same arrow that had hit Galaxy."
Elsa was staring at him as if he was a whole different person. "Please tell me that this is some kind of a sick joke because it's not funny," she whispered.
Jack shook his head. "I'm really sorry, Elsa."
Elsa started crying again, but this time there was nothing to stop her from doing so. The others started murmuring about what they had recently learned just now until voice broke through them.
"What's wrong, guys? Is everything okay?"
Elsa and everybody else looked at the face of the now conscious Galaxy.
"Of course everything is not okay! You almost gave us all a heart attack with what just happened a few hours ago!" Anna said.
"I'm sorry," Galaxy said. "I didn't mean to worry everyone like that."
"It's alright, Galaxy," Elsa smiled and gave her hand a squeeze. "Our biggest main concern is if you're okay."
Galaxy nodded. "I feel much better than a few hours ago."
"Good, good," Elsa said.
"Gal! You don't know how glad we are to see that you're awake!" Rapunzel exclaimed, coming over and gently hugging her. All of them continued to tell her their relief that she was safe until Jack interrupted them.
"Galaxy? Was that you who was the phoenix?"
Everyone turned to look at him.
"What are you talking about?"
"People can't do that."
"Not even wizards!"
"That's ridiculous!"
"It's true," Merida stated, interrupting the ongoing flood of questions and statements. Now everyone, minus Jack, was looking at her. "After accidentally shooting the phoenix, the phoenix started morphing back into Galaxy."
Elsa looked back at Galaxy. "Is this true, Galaxy? Were you really the phoenix that they're talking about?"
Galaxy looked from one face to the other and sighed. "I think it's time for me to tell you about my past...."
AN: Another cliffhanger! And if wizards can really turn into phoenixes, I'm sorry! It's for the story. Anyways, ope you enjoyed reading this and see you in the next chapter!
