Chapter 47

Anna's P.O.V:

I fluttered my eyes open; squinting to try and clarify my view.

My arm was draped over Jack's chest, and my leg was brought up to his thigh.

I didn't mind the position; but I didn't want Jack to wake up and be mad. His statement he made the day before seemed pretty clear.

I moved away and sat up. I looked over at the clock to see that it was already noon.

I got myself up and dressed in sweatpants and a flowy shirt with a sports bra underneath.

I quietly shut the door, so I wouldn't wake Jack up.

As I walked into the kitchen; everyone was up. They all turned to me and started to laugh.

"Damn, did you sleep in?" Libby sarcastically asked me.

"Shut the hell up," I replied back.

I found a seat at the table; then got back up to make myself breakfast.

"Where's Sarah, Sam, and Cameron?" I asked them.

"Matt can come home in an hour or so. Sarah and Sam can't drive, Matt sure as hell can't drive, so Cameron went with them," Shawn explained to me with his arms wrapped around Katie.

"Oh ok," I said back.

"So we leave tomorrow, can we do something fun today? With all of us?" Katie asked.

"I don't think I have any plans... Whatever you guys want," I replied.

"Actually, I was thinking we could make this last day together a little romantic? I'm going back to Canada tomorrow, who knows when we'll see each other again," Shawn interrupted.

I saw some tears start to well up in Katie's eyes. She did an amazing job hiding it.

"Uh, sure... That sounds great. What did you have in mind?" She asked him.

"A romantic dinner, maybe a romantic walk on the beach, just some alone time..." Shawn replied.

"Sounds perfect," Katie said back.

Shawn leaned over and kissed Katie's lips. She kissed back; but I knew she was struggling on coping with the fact that she had to leave Shawn for who knows how long.

"Let's get dressed... The fun starts now," Shawn said while pulling Katie to their room.

As she was being dragged, she turned to look at Libby and myself.

I mouthed the words 'text me' to her as she turned the corner.

"So what about you guys?" I asked Nash and Libby.

"We don't have anything planned-" Libby started, before Nash interrupted.

"Actually..." He started, while hugging Libby from behind.

"Awe baby," she said back, turning to face him for a kiss.

Their kiss got pretty heated; pretty fast. I decided to exclude myself from the scene, and I walked into the living room.

I fell on the couch and pulled out my phone.

Me: when r u gonna be home?

Sarah: soon, we just got in the car.

Me: ok, do you guys maybe wanna do something today?

Sarah: Definitely! I miss youu and Matt has to rest all day

Me: i miss you too! Maybe we can go shopping, or get our nails done? Let's he complete white girls😂

Sarah: sounds fun😏 I gtg, see you soon.
