8:49 amI yawned as I sat on top of the kitchen counter, waiting for the coffee to finish. The flat was quiet, except for the little ticks coming from my phone as I texted Dan back.
"violet isn't up yet ):"
"maybe she died"
"omg don't say that"
"well did you check?"
The sound of a door opening echoed through the flat.
"if some murderer snuck into the apartment and i die, pls scatter my ashes in the dumpster"
"can i adopt a doggo and name it after you instead?"
"omg yes!! even better"
Violet's giggles bounced off the walls as she came closer to the kitchen. Once I looked up from my phone, my gaze ignored her and went straight to her boyfriend, Isaiah. Her giggling came to an abrupt stopped as they both noticed me. I switched my gaze from him to her to immediately noticed her face turning a deep red.
"Morning." I said to them, breaking the silence.
"Good morning." Isaiah said to me with a gentle smile.
Violet grinned embarrassingly, "I didn't think you'd be up and in the kitchen yet..."I shrugged my shoulders, "I didn't think your boyfriend would be here; shirtless."
Violet stuck her tongue out to my teasing, causing both Isaiah and I to laugh."How're you holding up?" I asked him as they both took a seat at the kitchen table.
Isaiah sighed softly, touching his left shoulder with his right hand, "I mean, I'm still trying my best getting use to the whole 'one arm' thing since the accident, but your best friend still likes me.." He looked over at her with loving eyes, "So I'd say life is still going fantastic for me."

"Good morning!" I greeted Scarlett as I walked in through the shop door. She quietly waved back to me with a light smile, then proceeded to fill up some pots with soil. I went to my usual spot at the counter, but was caught off guard by a yellow envelope right next to the register. I took hold of the envelope and saw my name written on the front of it.
"Daniel came early and dropped it off for you." Scarlett's soft spoken words startled me as she stood in front of the counter.
"How the hell does she manage to move across the room so quietly?!"
I awkwardly laughed, "O-Oh, well, thank you!"
She smiled at me once again, giving me a nod before heading back to the flower pots.I looked back down at the envelope once again, turning it around to the opening slit on the back. Opening the envelope, I pulled out the card that was inside; it was black on the outside but white on the inside. Dan's handwriting reminded me of a four year old, and the thought of him trying his best not to write sloppy made me giggle. I mentally read his letter to myself:
"(Y/n),
On the back of this letter, I tapped the invitation to my friends party. I sadly won't be able to arrive with you since I'm going to help set up, but I am more than excited to see you Saturday night; I can't wait for everyone to finally meet you. You are my yellow thoughts.
- Dan
p.s: Sorry not sorry that this letter is cheesy♡"
The heart he drew added more to the whole 'four year old writing' thought, but I caught myself smiling more because of it.
I took my phone out from my pocket and opened my messages.
"you're so fucking cheesy"
"<3"
The sound of someone clearing their throat interrupted the mushy gushy moment. I brought my attention away from my phone to find Ace leaning over the counter, resting his chin on his hands; he was wearing his usual charming grin.
"Morning, angel face." Ace called to me.
I rolled my eyes, giving him a grin back, "Morning, asshole."I looked at the invitation behind Dan's letter, hearing Ace laugh, "Oh, wow. When my brother said he was doing it big, he wasn't fucking around."
"Wait, brother?"
Ace groaned, "What did I tell you yesterday, Miss (y/n)?"
"To pay attention to names, Ace Thomas Butler." I said. Ace reached out and pointed at the name on the invite, "And what does this name say?"
"Marcus Butler."
"And what does Howell do?"
"Make YouTube videos."
"So that means..."
"Marcus makes videos, too."
"And what are Howell and Marcus?"
"Friends."
"And Marcus and I are..."
"Brothers?"
Ace suddenly leaned up from the counter and rapidly began to clap his hands, "Incredible! I'm so proud of you!"
"Shut up!" I laughed to his teasing, swatting his hand away from my face as he pinched my cheek.
Before walking towards Scarlett, Ace looked back at me, "Oh, and it's a party, not a wedding; so don't feel like you have to go all out, okay? Wear whatever makes you comfortable."
"Does that mean I can go in my pajamas?"
Ace rolled his big hazel eyes, flashing his charming grin my way and proceeded on walking.

Holding a bouquet of sunflowers against me, I waited slightly impatient for Violet to come pick me up. The rain was coming down heavy, and I was greeted by a light tap on my shoulder.
"Excuse me?" a girl said to me as I looked over at her. We were the same height, and appeared to be a couple of years younger than me.
"This might sound strange," she awkwardly held her umbrella closer to her, "But... Are you the one who did a YouNow stream with a YouTuber named Daniel Howell?"
"That's me!" I happily told the young girl. Her awkward and shy vibe instantly changed to yellow as she asked for a picture. I hesitated for a second, but agreed to it.
"Thank you!" She beamed, "Could you tell Dan 'hi' for me?"
I nodded kindly, "Of course! And thank you for supporting him. You guys honestly have no idea how much you mean to Danny Boy."
Violet's car pulled up to the curb as she honked for me. The girl thanked me once again as I said goodbye.
