I followed Violet around the whole apartment as she packed up a few of her things in brown cardboard boxes, telling her the entire story about earlier today that lead up to the event.
"And then that's when it happened!"
Vi set down one of the boxes onto her bed, looking back at me, "What?"
My body froze and my mind started racing. I replayed that moment over and over in my head, analyzing every second throughout it and every inch of Dan's face; with how close he was to me, it was hard not to.
Remembering how his soft brown eyes began to close, and as soon as his lips touched mine, the world felt like it stopped around us; time froze, and it felt like it was just him and I in that moment.
Remembering my first kiss with him earlier today brought back how I felt at that moment to right now..
Excitement, adrenaline, and an intense mushy-gushy, lovey-dovey feeling ran through my whole body, causing my heart rate to pick up the more I thought about it.
"He kissed you." Violet stated without question, pulling me away from my thoughts and back into reality.
I immediately felt my whole face heat up in embarrassment, and I finally realized how big I was smiling.
"Oh my god, he did! It's written all over your face, (y/n)!" She excitedly exclaimed, causing my blush to increase.

"could you come over? there's something i need to talk to you about"
"well hello to you too"
"lemme start over"
"*ahem*"
"hello sunshine. would you mind stopping by some time today? there's something i need to discuss with you"
"how was that?"
"eh /: i've heard better"
"WOW WHATEVER LMAO"
"but i guesssss i can stop byyy"
"we can bake cookies"
"k coming rn"
"PREHEAT THE OVEN"
"ON IT"
I tossed my phone onto my bed and immediately started getting ready to head over.
As soon as I finished, Violet offered giving me a ride, which I happily accepted.
"I have a few things I need to drop off at Isaiah's place." She told me as we jumped into her car.
Looking towards the backseat, I noticed a few more boxes than she had originally packed yesterday.
"She probably can't wait to get away from you-"
I instantly blocked out the rest of that negative thought, and slipped on my seatbelt.
"I bet he's really excited to start a new chapter with you." I smiled towards Vi as she drove.
She smiled back but didn't say anything.
We drove in silence for awhile, just listening to the low music she had playing and the ticking sound from her blinkers whenever she needed to turn.
Looking down at my empty hands, I finally heard Violet speak,
"I'm really going to miss you."
I looked up from my hands and noticed a few tears running down her cheeks. Violet suddenly pulled over and parked the car, turning in her seat to face me. Before giving me the chance to say anything, she continued,
"I'm not even moving out until this month is over but I already miss you. You mean the whole fucking world to me, and throughout these past twelve years I've been blessed to call you my best friend. I'm excited to start a new beginning with Isaiah, of course, but I'm going to miss the crap out of our own little world, (y/n). You've always been my favorite person, and you always will be."
By the time Vi finished, I went back to looking at my empty hands.
The car was quiet for a couple seconds.
"(Y/n)?"
I brought my attention away from my hands and back to Violet, wiping away the tears that were sliding down my cheeks,
"You're making me sad!" I choked out with a little smile.
Vi began laughing as she brushed off her sad tears, bringing me to giggle along with her.
"Alright, alright. Enough of this sad shit." She said, starting up the car, "Let's go."
"Where?"
"Uh, to your boyfriend's apartment. Duh."
