9:42 am"(Y/n), it's time to wake up. Seriously. You need to-" Without opening my eyes, I reached my hand up to touch Violets mouth.
"Please... Just.. Not yet." I mumbled out, "Not now."
"Daniel and Ace are in the living room."
As soon as Violet finished her sentence, I quickly sat up from my bed. The bright sunlight coming in from my window shined into my room, causing my eyes to feel a burning sensation and an intense headache to set it. I winced from the pain, and softly rubbed my temples.
"Oh, fuck. They weren't kidding when they said you banged your head really hard." Violet said, moving my hands away to examine my forehead.
"What do you mean?" I questioned, squinting my eyes from the sunlight.
"I think it's probably best if you ask them instead of me."
-
"There she is! How you holding up, kiddo?" Ace greeted me with his classic grin, causing me to give a tired one back to him. Dan quickly stood up from his seat on the sofa, bumping shoulders with Ace as he came up to me.
"It's probably best if you sat down, love." Dan took a gentle hold of my right arm, leading me over to the sofa. Sitting down, I noticed the pillow and blanket Violet and I give to friends who sleep over.
"I, um, I slept over. I wanted to make sure you were alright." Dan awkwardly chuckled out.
"What happened anyway? I was suppose to meet your friends at Marcus's party..."
"Well," Dan cleared his throat, "Do you at least remember arriving to it?"
Without giving me a chance to think, Ace jumped into the conversation, "You tripped on your way in and practically ate shit. And by that, I mean you hit the ground head first really fucking hard; that's why your forehead is bruised."
"My fucking what?!"
Touching my forehead once again, I groaned from the pain as I felt a small bump.
"If it makes you feel any better, the swelling went down since last night; the bump isn't as large as it use to be." Dan said, trying his best to comfort me. He removed my hand from my forehead, and held my hand in his instead, "You shouldn't really touch it, though."
"Ace, did you spend the night, too?"
Ace shook his head in response to my question, snickering a bit, "Nah, your pretty boy and I just took you home. I stayed for as long as I could, but Marcus ended up calling me to help him clean up. I really just arrived back thirty minutes ago."
"Did you know they were brothers?" Dan asked me quietly. I nodded, and received a 'what the fuck' look from Dan in return.
"Here." Violet walked up to me from the kitchen and handed me an ice pack, "Ice it."
-
"Thank you for checking up on me, I really appreciate it."
"That's what friends do, right?" Ace smiled, taking his hoodie off the coat rack and slipping it on.
"Please tell your brother I said I'm sorry.. I really would've loved to meet him."
Ace rolled his hazel eyes, throwing on his hood, "His parties are cool, not him. I'll let him know anyway, but don't really worry about it; worry more about that head of yours."
Before completely walking out, Ace gave me a side hug and a goodbye wave to Violet. He glanced over at Dan on the sofa and just sighed, finally leaving with that familiar grin on his face.
"Him and I are never going to get along, huh?" Daniel smiled as I walked back over to him.
"I hope you guys do at some point."
I sat down beside him as his arm wrapped around me. Violet cooed at the both of us, causing Dan to awkwardly blush more than me.
"Will I still get the opportunity to meet your friends?" I asked Dan, resting my head against his shoulder.
"Of course. Maybe some place with softer flooring, though."
