You, my darling, are the sun to my earth.
My whole world revolves around you and is influenced by everything you are.
You pulled me into your orbit, became the center of everything and changed me.
You hold the ultimate key, have an endless control.
You have an unknown power over me.
Your sole existence can give and take everything.
When you're near me, you flood me with warmth.
You give me everything I need to grow, to bloom.
When you're near me, my bare branches grow the biggest and greenest leaves, decorated with the most beautiful flowers.
Your rays shine through my forests, shedding light on all that is pretty, giving colour to a world I thought to be gray.
When I'm cold, you warm me up in your sweet embrace, holding me in your bright and glowing arms.
When you're far from me, my world turns cold.
I can seek my warmth elsewhere, but it will always be you I crave.
Nothing can replace your warm touch on my hungry skin.
When you're far from me, the light that shines on me fades, the days grow shorter and the leaves lose their strength.
That world still has its own beauty, but is nothing compared to what it can be.
When you're too near, or when your embrace becomes something harsher, your influence changes.
My ocean of insecurities, once so calm yet ever present, evaporates, only to rain back down on my body, like acid.
Your influence has the power to wash away the ground beneath my feet, by simply raining down on me with everything I give you.
You fuel me, but you can also burn me, leaving parts of my forest on fire, destroying all in its path.
Only with your help, your gentle touch, will I be able to regrow the parts of me you burn down.
Your sudden solar flares leave me burnt, no chance for preparation.
You give no warning when you lash out.
You might not mean to burn me, but often forget that I am in your orbit.
You hold the power to build me up, to let me bloom, but in your other hand hold the power to destroy me.
You can make me and you can break me, be my victory or my downfall.
No matter how much I could want to, my orbit won't change.
My world will not stop revolving around you, nor can I change the shape of my elliptical orbit.
You will not always be near me to warm me, you will not always be able to refrain yourself from burning me.
But I don't mind.
I will find a way to live in harsh or extreme conditions, I will find a way to deal with your influences.
I can't change my oceans of insecurity, but I can try to keep them calm.
I can't help that your heat can create rains that wash away everything, but I can prepare myself for the floods.
I will do all I can to try and keep those rainy days from turning into hurricaines.
For when I look directly at you, my eyes feel like they're burning.
I tear up and am blinded by your bright and shining light.
I look at my bright green leaves, my cherryblossom heart and my endless seas of blue, reflecting your warm rays, I know.
You're worth every burn, every raincloud, every landslide.
You're worth it.
