Broken but mended (a Leico fan fiction)

A/N Hey! I'm new and this is my first fan fiction, its a Leico fan fiction (nico and Leo) so please tell me what you think!!!

Nico's POV

I sat in the cold, dark, and lonely Hades cabin alone. My half sister Hazel told me to go "socialize" with the other half bloods, but I didn't want to, I've been able to stay here for years without "socializing". Plus today was one of those days where I just wasn't at my best. Ever since my sister Bianca died I keep having these days where I just can't do anything. I miss her more then anything, Percy was supposed to protect her he promised me he would, but he didn't. Bianca told me not to hold a grudge against Percy because holding a grudge is my fatal flaw, because I am a child of Hades. I felt the tears fall but didn't bother whipping them away.

Hazel walked into the dark cabin we have to share and walked over to me.

"Nico I know today isn't your best of days, but its time for dinner and I haven't seen you eat at all today, you know how you get Nico." Hazel said as she sat next to me. I stood up and put on my black converse, I saw Hazel smile. She brushed my tears off my cheeks and kissed my forehead.

I went and sat down at the Hades table by myself, Hazel went and sat with her boyfriend Frank, she has permission to. I didn't like sitting at the Hades table alone, it was an awfully big table for basically one person who rarely ever showed up. It made me feel even lonelier then I was before. Hazel got me my plate, when she was back next to Frank I pushed it away. I sat at the table thinking, but then when I stopped thinking I realized that I ended up staring at Leo Valdez, son of Hephaestus. Before I was able to look away he looked back at me, I could feel my normally cold cheeks get warm. Leo smirked and looked away. He had such an adorable smirk. Oh um I ugh I guess I forgot to say something very important, I umm I'm sorta gay.. Nobody knows, except Jason, but after our encounter with Cupid I made Jason swear on the River Styx not to tell anyone. I know for certain that some of the people here would hate me if they found out, so I haven't told anyone.

After dinner we had the camp fire, and I decided to go since I felt bad for not "socializing" like Hazel wanted me to. Some how i ended up sitting next to Leo and Jason. Jason was talking to his girlfriend Piper, so I couldn't exactly socialize with him. I tried to think of something to say to Leo, but nothing was coming to my mind.

"You know a picture lasts longer Nico." Leo said with a chuckle. I stared at him wide eyed realizing I was looking at him. I hope he couldn't see me blushing.

"S-sorry Leo." I mumbled looking away.

"Its fine, you okay?" He asked

"Y-yeah just ugh just h-hungry thats all." Damn it Nico, hungry really? Dinner was literally just a half hour ago. Leo laughed.

"Can only imagine, I mean you haven't eaten all day."

"How would you know that." I mumbled.

"It's not that difficult to notice your table empty in a large area with basically all the tables filled." Leo said. I just nodded. I glanced at him quickly, noticing how his eyes seemed to dance in the light of the fire. I blushed and tried to put Leo Valdez out of my mind, but I couldn't.

"Well that has been enough socializing for one day" I said standing up. Before I could walk away Leo's extremely warm hands grabbed my arm.

"It was nice 'socializing' with you Nico, we should socialize again sometime." Leo said with that oh so adorable smirk of his. I smiled and nodded, then I ran back to my cabin.

I lay in bed with his words repeating over and over in my mind, Leo Valdez enjoyed socializing with me. An enormous smile spread across my face. For once I didn't have nightmares.
