Robin/ Dick's P.O.V.

I park my bike next to the Batmobile inside the BatCave, shutting off the ignition and jumping off the bike, my cape flying after me. I walk the narrow strip over to the BatComputer, plopping down on the plush seat and beginning my search. Bruce is probably upstairs in his study, hiding away like usual. I didn't get why everything had to be named after Batman-- Batmobile, Batcycle, Batcomputer. Why couldn't anything be after me? I mean, a Robinmobile sounded just as cool and it's not like he couldn't afford it.

Shaking away my stubborn thoughts, I focus on the task at hand. Pulling up old police files, I look into some petty crimes from the past few months. I narrow the search to criminals not caught by myself or Batman. Looking through the files, I look through the list of pickpockets, thieves and burglars, noticing the same pattern. Almost all of them were apprehended by the police, although they were originally found tied up without the person causing this in sight.

And there was no evidence left behind to help either.

"Master Dick, what are you doing down here so late? And on a school night! Master Bruce would not be pleased" The timeworn voice of the butler, Alfred, called from behind me. I spin around in the chair to face the old man, running a gloved hand through my jet black hair.

"I know, I'm sorry Alfred, I just need to solve this case" I say, narrowing my eyes at the screen as if staring at it would give me clues. It seemed to work for Batman a lot.

"Why the sudden interest in this girl? Master Bruce did not seem pleased after your encounter with Two-Face" Alfred states and my lips tweak upwards at the memory. Of course I would never hear the end of it from Bruce, but the reckless tactics by Fox had given me a sort of adrenaline rush that I had only gotten with Batman during my first fight.

"It's nothing, really, just curiosity. I'll be going to bed now" I say, jumping off the chair and brushing past Alfred, moving away from the BatComputer. Alfred didn't follow me as I changed out of the Robin suit into pajama pants and matching shirt.

Moving to the elevator, I emerged from the grandfather clock and out into the vast Wayne Manor. Crossing the wooden floor with my bare feet, I noticed the light peeking under the crack of Bruce's study. I paused for a second, debating whether or not to talk to him. After a second more, I continued on.

With the flick of a switch the lights of my room flickered on. I kicked aside the Happy Hamburger bag, a treat from Bruce once a month, and moved across my otherwise neat room. Alfred had a habit of cleaning it up every morning, never actually allowing me to have a stereotypical 16-year old messy room.

Flopping onto the bed face-first, I groan and close my eyes, trying to relax. Rolling over, I place my hands over my forehead and stare up at the blank white ceiling, letting my thoughts fly.

Why was I so strung up over this girl?

I mean I didn't even know her name-- her real name. I've only met her twice and I've become as obsessed with her as the Joker is with Batman. Well, maybe that's an overstatement seeing as I'm not a homicidal clown, but you get the point. I mean, the only rogue crimefighters we got around here ended up corrupt or something like that and it wasn't often a new hero came to Gotham, I was intrigued to say the least.

Putting aside the thought of Fox, I focused on the fact I forgot I hadn't done my homework due tomorrow.

Whoops.

A/N: short chapter. i forgot how long ago I wrote this but it was a LONG time. I've been too caught up reading Young Justice Spitfire fanfictions on a different site and writing a few of my own to remember this story. Pretty sure this was written a while ago but I really can't remember. Wow. Also sorry if I accidentally start writing in third person, all of my other stories are written in third person so I'm now more comfortable using that method.
