"Marley Sha- holy crap you look good." William stared at me as I stepped out of my room. I'd promised William I would go to the football game with him, so I was bundled up in fall gear. I felt like an overstuffed teddy bear and Williams comment would do nothing to change that.
"Hi, William."
"You're still not accepting my compliments." Willliam glares at me as I smile up at him.
"I don't accept lies from boys." I tell him. William rolls his eyes but pulls me towards the door. I shout a goodbye to my parents before William drags me towards his truck. I honestly loved his truck.
You also love who drives the truck.
"William, remind me again why I promised to do this?" I ask as I try to warm myself up. I couldn't understand why I was so cold when I hadn't even been outside for a few minutes.
"Because you love me so very dearly in that cold heart of yours." William grins as we begin to drive.
"Yeah, that's not why." I shiver. William glances at me with a grin.
"The cold heart part is." He jokes. I smack him. "Hey! No hitting!"
"That's right, they tackle in football." I smirk and William laughs.
"Is that the only term you know?" William continues to annoy me and I merely roll my eyes.
"Pay attention to your driving."
"How can I when there's a gorgeous girl in the seat next to me?" William grins. I all but jump out of the truck. "You're shivering." He murmurs and suddenly there's a blast of warm air hitting my face. I had to shake my head to fix the hair that flew into my mouth.
"Are we going to win tonight?" I ask. William laughs.
"Does this team ever win?" William asks me in return. I shrug.
"Sometimes." I smile. "But hey, we can't be winners all the time."
"I'll bet any guy who had you would be a winner all the time." William says without looking at me. I clench my fist and let out a small breath.
"You're being quite flirtatious tonight and I'm not sure how I feel about it." I say briskly. William breaks out into a loud, boisterous laugh that I couldn't help but smile at.
"I'm complimenting you. That's why you don't like it." He chuckles and smiles.
God those dimples are killer.
I refuse to speak for the rest of the ride. William opens my door for me once we park near the high school and wraps his arm around my shoulders... supposedly to keep me warm. I thought he was doing it for other reasons.
I felt a little better about my feelings with William because now I was doing something to work on my appearance so I'd be worthy of someone who could stand next to him. When you have such a gorgeous dude as William, and then a chubby chihuahua next to him- it would look strange. I didn't want it to look strange. I wanted to be beautiful so I could be gorgeous with William.
"Hey, Earth to Marley Shay." William pokes my side. I snap my head up to meet his gaze. "Where would you like to sit?" He asks. I glance around our field.
