(Quite a lot of this chapter is just speaking but this is probably one of the most important chapters of the entire book. So much of Diego's thoughts, you guys will love it!)

"WE HAVE A date,"

"You're taking me out on a date?" I ask in disbelief.

He laughs, "you wish. My father invited us over for dinner,"

I raise my eyebrow. Throughout our entire marriage, Gregorio had never invited us to his house for a dinner. Diego noticed my confused look and merely shrugged indicating he had no idea what was going on with his father.

"Dress nicely," He tells me and I roll my eyes.

"Do I ever not?" I ask him and he thinks about it.

"There was your little club visit that I had to save you from," He reminds me with a smirk.

"Firstly, I did not even choose the dress and you did not save me! I was actually fine, you just got too jealous," I stick my tongue out and he scoffs.

"Just dress nicely okay," He tells me before walking away.

One point Violetta!

To say I was nervous would be an understatement.

The few times I had interacted with Gregorio he had intimidated me. I was so scared of messing up around him. It was as if he was really the one with the power in the relationship. He orchestrated the entire thing, he is the one keeping my parents' business afloat.

He practically ran my life.

I could not make a fool out of myself in front of him. I really wanted him to genuinely like me as a daughter in-law.

I could tell that even Diego was slightly afraid of this dinner. He believed that his father could not care less about him yet he still constantly tried to impress him.

But for some reason, I could not believe that Gregorio did not love Diego. He may not express his feelings well but there was something hidden behind his intimidating demeanour that just convinced me that Gregorio had never stopped caring for Diego every minute of every day.
