Ash X serena // one-shots // alola

Missing: serena

Ash POV

I wake up with Serena in my arms. She's fast asleep. I pry myself away from her and grab a piece of paper and write:

Hey Serena!

I've just nipped out to the store for some more food. We're kinda running low...
Go back to sleep, ok? You need it after last night.

I'll be back soon,

Ash

There, done. I grab my rucksack and I decide to leave pikachu. He's lay on the couch curled in a ball. He's so cute sometimes. I grab my keys and head out.

"Hey ash! Is Serena ok?"

I turn around to see nurse joy and wiggly tuff at the front desk healing some trainer's Pokemon.

"Yeah thanks, she's doing great!"

"I'm glad!"

I walk out of the pokecentre and onto the streets.

It's early so there isn't as much people in town. I look at all the different stalls in amazement to the point where I nearly get distracted.

"Right ash, focus on getting what you need."

I come across a pretty array of colourful berries and a tall brunette walked out and came behind the stall.

"Hello ash!"

"Hey mom!"

"Arnt these berries beautiful?"

"Yeah"

I grab a 'pick it yourself ' bag and pick up one of each berry.

"That'll be ¥240" (yen bc Pokemon is Japanese...)

"Wait mom?"

She stands proudly at the other side of the stall.

"You run this stand? But your leaving Alola tommorow? What's the point?"

"Well, prof oaks cousin said that he will continue it for me while I'm gone."

"Oh"

I give my mom the money and head back.

"See you later ash!"

"Bye!"

I decide to take the long route as it's got some pretty gardens near it. I'm still a bit sleepy so it'll be best to try and wake myself up.

A swarm of flabebe fly past me as I wave and they wave back. I stand over the fence gazing at the pretty flowers. Wait- Serena! I need to get back.

I open the door and see Serena and pikachu lay on the couch watching pokevision.

"Hey"

"Oh your back!"

She sits up and walks over to me.

"Lemme get that, you look exhausted!"

She takes the grocery bags from me and places them on the kitchen counter. I sit on the couch next to pikachu.

"Serena, how did kalos go?"

"What do you mean ash?"

"Well didn't you try for the master class?"

"Oh well I found out that I any region, as long as you have 3 princess keys, you can perform in ANY master class in ANY region!"

"Oh that's cool! So you will try to beat the Alola queen?"
