Once upon a time, there lived a village.
This village had rice fields, and a river bank. But whenever it rained there, the people suffered because of heavy flood.
One day, the one of the elders said that, " We should build something that could block the flood, in order to protect us and the fields."
The villagers agreed to do this,so that they wouldn't get harmed by the flood.
Soon after they built the wall-like structure, they put a priest statue beside it, to guard over it.
After that, days passed. Floods never harmed them. The villagers thanked the priest statue, thinking that it was all thanks to it.
One night, one of the villagers had a dream.
His dream was about the statue telling him that the structure they built would break.
He awoke right away, and rushed to the river.
He arrived there, only to see the river getting filled with water.
"Run! Go to the temple on the mountain! Quickly!" One of the elders said to the people.
As they rushed there, the flood broke in.
It carried away houses and belongings.
But the villager who had the dream went to take the statue.
He risked his life, just to take it.
After the flood, they tried to take the statue back. But, it didn't move an inch.
They decided to let it stay there, so that it would look upon the village.
The villager told his dream to the others, and decided to call the staute the "The dream-telling priest statue".
I am sorry for the short chapter! It's currently 12 am, so it was kinda rushed. Anyways, thank you for reading. Until next time!
