Devon sat on the sofa like a scolded child waiting to be punished. How ridiculous was that? She was a grown woman, damn it, and she was entitled to her own feelings whether they were right or wrong! Furthermore, that woman Cassidy, clearly was attracted to Dylan even if Dylan didn't know it. Devon knew all the clever and coy little tricks women did when they were flirting, she had done the same thing to Dylan! How could Dylan not see it?
When the elevator doors opened, Devon was standing in the kitchen gathering her belongings.
"Where are you going?" Dylan asked in surprise as she stepped toward her as she came out the elevator.
"Home," She began, "I think I should just go for now." She added sounding a little unsure of herself.
"I thought we were going to talk about what happened downstairs?" Dylan asked.
"What is there to talk about?" Devon asked, "I got jealous because a beautiful woman touched you, in what looked to me in an inappropriate way, and you did nothing to stop her." She added getting upset again.
"Devon, I didn't feel it inappropriate at the time, but looking back now in hindsight, I can see that perhaps it was." Dylan told her truthfully as she looked in her green eyes.
Devon took a deep breath, fully not anticipating Dylan admission, "What upsets me even more is that, just before you came back up here, I was sitting on the couch like a child waiting to be punished for my bad behavior," She started truthfully, and then added, "But you know what Dylan, I'm entitled to my feelings and I refuse to be reduced to that of a scolded child."
Watching her for a moment as her eyes burned a flame of green ember, Dylan had to smile at her passion. Be it during lovemaking or anger, she was no doubt the most passionate woman Dylan had ever met and she loved her for it.
"What are you smiling at, this isn't funny." Devon snapped.
Not even realizing she had actually been smiling, Dylan stepped up and took her small clutch from Devon's hands and set it down before reaching out to take hold of her now empty ones.
"No, this isn't funny and I'm smiling because I love you." Dylan answered, still lost in her dark pools.
"What're you doing?" Devon asked eyeing her suspiciously.
"I'm agreeing with you." She stated plainly, "You're right, you are entitled to your own feelings."
Raising her eyebrows, Devon looked at her seriously, "Really?"
"Yeah, really." Dylan laughed, "I probably would have felt the same way if I had seen someone touching you that I didn't know, in fact, I may have had to kick their ass right on the spot." She added seductively.
Speechless for a moment, Devon searched Dylan's eyes curiously, "Mm, that's hot...So, you're not mad?"
"No, but I would appreciate it if you would at least talk to me first before you go flying off the handle." Dylan admitted, sliding her arms around Devon's waist and pulling her closer.
Sighing, Devon lowered her eyes, "I know, that was so wrong," She admitted softly, "and I am truly sorry for that."
Using her finger, Dylan lifted her chin so Devon had to look at her, "Do you trust me?" She asked softly.
Opening her eyes wider, Devon nodded, "Yes...I do," She started, "I've never been jealous of anyone Dylan, but with you...something ugly comes out when I think of anyone else touching you."
Putting her hand back on her Devon's slender hip, Dylan smiled, "I can assure you baby, I only want you touching me...and me touching you." She told her leaning in to give her a soft kiss.
