Chapter 13

Mikoto's POV

I sat there at the bar as Izumo pulled out some liquor for me. He placed a glass down next to the bottle. I sighed opening the bottle and pour the liquor into the glass. Setting the bottle down I picked up my glass and downed it. It burned going down but it made me feel warm.

"Fang was here Mikoto," Izumo said shaking his head.
"What did she want this time?" I asked pouring another drink.
"She knew you had someone following her," he replied leaning against the counter.

I looked up at him raising an eyebrow. I didn't even have to say anything because the look on my face said it all.

"Well I don't know how she knew, but Tatara told her who it was," Izumo replied annoyed.
Slowly I turn my head in his direction. He's currently on the couch with Anna playing, so he has no idea what Izumo and I are talking about. He looks up and sees that I'm giving him the death glare. All he does is smile nervously at me.

Before Izumo could say something else, Yata barged in. He looked beat red. I raised an eyebrow as Izumo and I look at each other. What on earth happened to him?

"M-Mr. Mikoto," he stuttered as he walked over to me, "I'm so sorry but I've failed you. Fang found out that I was the one following her and she cornered me."
"What did she say to you?" Izumo asked before I could.

Yata looked down at the ground before he spoke. I could tell that he was ashamed that he got caught and had to come back and tell me.

"Well she said that she doesn't want anyone else following her," he replied, "I told her that it was because Mikoto was worried that she'll get hurt that's why I followed her."

I sighed running my hand through my hairs I slowly got up and headed towards the door.

"You coming Izumo?" I asked looking over my shoulder.
"Where to?" He questioned.
"Well Fang is moving faster than I anticipated," I replied, "it's my turn to get a head of her. We should start looking into possible areas of where the fang could be located."

Izumo raised an eyebrow at me. The look on his face showed confusion.

"What do you mean we?" He asked.
"Well I can't do this alone," I said, "but if you don't want to..."
"I didn't say that," he replied walking towards me, "you know I'm always going to help you. Even if it kills me."

With that being said we both headed out the door. I wonder how long it will take us to locate them? I wonder if Fang already has that information.
