After the park incident Kate still had no were to go. She had to admit sleeping on the bench in the park was fun, Phahh  what am I kidding myself it was terrible.

She had an idea of were to go, but wasn't so sure if they would let her stay.

I mean come on what am I thinking their slayers an I'm a half vampire for crying out loud! But they did save me a few times. Ugh! What do I do become homeless, go home get turned eh I don't think so, or go to Jake's.

Yeah it's Jake's I just hope they let me stay with them.

So she began walking to their place. If she wasn't half vampire it would of been hard to see in the dark but no not for her.

When she got their she was like what am I doing this is stupid an just as she turned around she got stopped by someones voice a very familiar voice it sounded a lot like Jake's, but she wasn't sure if it was his.

Kate? Is that you? It asked.

Yea it was Jake alright an when she turned around an walked into the light coming from the porch she said yea uh it's me.

Oh that's what I thought, what are you doing here? You do have some wheres to go right?

Uh yea well about that. No not really.

When I said that he busted out laughing can you believe that he was laughing at me ugh stupid guy. Hey it's not that funny.

Hahaha yes it is, wow and that first day I met you, you said you wanted to go home so basically you lied wow Kate you didn't have to lie. You could of just stayed with us an you wouldn't of almost died twice. He said the last part with a bit of anger damn he really did hate vampires good thing I wasn't one or id be dead by now.

I know, I know but how was I supposed to know y'all wouldn't of tried to kill me?

Ah well I see your point their, an if you really do need a place to stay you can stay with us for a while if you want.

~Jake's P.O.V~

What was I doing letting this girl stay with us and a half vampire at that. Gosh I have serious problems but it's to late to change my mind now I already said she could stay an when I told her that she gos really? I was like yea an at that her whole face brightened up to the most amazing smile I have ever seen. God I could really get used to that smile.

When she walked up to the porch I opened the door an yelled um Issy, Conner we have a new house guest.

Issy came running up to the door after I said that with a smile on her face as she said oh let me guess an our new house guest would be Kate am I right?

Yepp it's me you don't mind do you? Kate said shyly.

Don't be silly Kate of course not.

Well Issy would you be kind enough to show her around? She said yea an as I walked off to go to my bed room I heard Issy saying well we don't have any spare bed rooms but the couch will just have to do it's better than nothing.

I was just laying here in my bed an for some reason I just couldn't get Kate off my mind gosh shes so beautiful an that smile of hers could kill.

It had been like an hour since the last time I heard her speaking with Issy, an Conner so I guessed they must of went off to bed. I wonder if shes sleeping I'll just go in there an check act like I'm going to get something from the kitchen or something.

When I walked into the living room I had expected her to be sleeping by now because it took me a whole twenty minutes to get the courage to get up an go in there, for crying out loud its my own house and this strange half vampire girl has got me scared to walk around in my own house wow I'm a wimp.

~Kate's P.O.V~

I was laying here on Jake's couch trying to go to sleep but I just couldn't an all of a sudden it felt like someone was watching me so I look up an when I did my eyes met Jake's beautiful blue ones.

W-what are you doing Jake? I stammered

Oh nothing I just came in here to get something out of the kitchen.

Ha yea right he did I thought.

You know the kitchens over there right.

I know where the kitchen is this is my house! He snapped wow what's his problem.

Anyways what are you still doing up he asked I figured you'd be asleep by now.

Yeah I could ask you the same thing, I guess I just couldn't sleep what about you.

Same. He replied in that musical voice of his. Gosh I have to stop thinking things like this half vampire, human do not equal anything good.

Yea your right it is he said back copying my sarcasm.

So were just sitting here in an awkward silence when all of a sudden he speaks up an asks so why did you leave home Kate? Your royalty after all.

Um I don't really want to talk about it. It has a lot to do with my family and ex. Oh why did I have to say that I just said I didn't wanna talk about it stupid stupid.

I busted out laughing after that because he gave me the puppy dog eyes.
