The sun began to set behind the blossomed trees leaving behind pink, dyed clouds.
As the minutes fluttered away, German's hope became less and less. Whilst sitting on the empty wooden bench, he began to tap his feet to a rhythm. Rubbing is hands together in nerves, his soft, disappointed eyes desperately searched for Angie... But she was no where to be seen.
A pure, crystal tear fell from his watered eyes as his thoughts took over; 'I've really lost her this time. I've really messed everything up.'
German rose to stand. Taking one last look around the empty park, he slowly walked along the bricked path until he came to a stop at an outside sweet stand.
"Hola señor! Would you like a Caramel Apple?" The owner politely asked. They smiled with welcome, gesturing an appetizing caramel apple.
"Just the one please." German replied. He grew a small smile at the memory of Angie and him eating one of these.
His clouded mind, revolving around Angie, evaporated as a kind voice added, "Make that two."
German's face light up, he wouldn't forget that voice for the world - it was Angie. He quickly turned and at that moment he saw her; her golden locks blew lightly in the breeze, her eyes starring lovingly into his, her warming smile he got to recall once more.
German grew emotional. A joyful smile appeared across his face as he cried "Oh Angie! Angie I didn't think you were coming! Angie I'm so sorry, I've missed you so much!" He lifted Angie and lightly swung her around.
Gracefully putting her down, Angie began to blush, "Err German, wow! aha erm shall we take a seat on a bench?" She quietly laughed, smiling secretly to herself at what had just happened.
"Oh err yes, haha - erm.. sorry.." German replied rather embarrassed. He itched the back of his neck as his cheeks grew as pink as the sky.
Angie smiled thoughtfully at Germans reaction. She grew closer and delicately kissed one of his rosy cheeks. "Thank-you" she whispered, "I've missed you too." She turned her back and walked over to a nearby bench to sit.
German shyly smiled whilst touching his kissed cheek. The butterflies inside his stomach were doing laps of races now. His heart oozing with love for her.
German quickly snapped out of his thoughts and hurriedly walked over to the bench. He took the seat beside Angie and gazed at her.
"You said you needed to talk to me?" Angie politely questioned, "Is there something wrong?"
He looked awkwardly at the floor, before slowly answering, "No there's nothing wrong - well in fact yes there is. I... erm... well... Angie I can't forget you. I can't forget the love we had - the love I still have for you."
Angie deeply looked into his pleaded eyes. She couldn't help remembering the damage her heart was given. The nights of hysterically crying, feeling lonely, unwanted... replaced. She couldn't forget the feeling of being replaced.
"Look German, I'm sure you can find another woman to share your love with. You shared it with Esmeralda right? I mean you almost married her. I didn't see you remembering me then." Angie said these words with a hint of anger, 'Will German ever think of what I had to go through? How I felt?' She sadly wondered to herself.
German took Angie's hands, holding them gently and pleaded, "I'm so sorry, Angie. I truly am. I've made such a mistake that has ruined you and I. Please forget my mistake I -"
Angie tried to hide her giggles but failed.
German's eyes widened with sadness. "What's funny? I'm trying to explain myself to you."
"Oh no I'm not laughing at that - honest! it's just, you've got a little bit of pop-corn from the caramel apple on your lip." She softly smiled at him, reassuring him that she was being honest.
He began to giggle too. "Not again!" He laughed half-heartedly. He remembered the very last time they had eaten a caramel apple together. This very same embarrassing moment happened.
He tried to wipe it of but missed. "Here let me" Angie said, smiling at remembering too.
She moved in closer and slowly wiped away the pop-corn piece. "There..." She quietly said. Her eyes were glued to his. A force too powerful to be disconnected from each other's eyes.
German moved closer to Angie's warm presence and whispered, "Last time Jade stopped this moment..."
"A loud and angry scream I think I recall?" She smiled grimly.
"But now there's no-one to stop us. Just you and me..." His face moved in centre with hers, the tips of their noses touching.
Both leaning in for a true loves kiss, a sharp, hawk like, hand grasped onto Germans shoulder, "It's German Castillo, right?" The female sharply said. She had a dark, glisten of delight at ruining their moment. Her hair was platinum blonde, her royal red lipstick jumping from her pale, face. She wore only designer clothes, in fact only clothes that were "Inn".
The woman smirked at Angie's confusion to who she was but that was soon answered. "I'm Priscila Ferro, Ludmila's mum." She proudly announced but then turned to German, "German it's time for our date silly!"
