"Are you sure you want to do this? I'm sure the police are almost here." Ramallo stated logically. He fixed his glasses whilst continuing to stare at the beautiful house.
"Yes." German replied firmly. "I won't leave Angie. I'm not prepared to make the same mistake twice!" German clenched his fists in fury and began to think aloud, "How could I have been so stupid? - letting her go like that. I should have spoken to her; I shouldn't have been such a coward!" German shook his head in disgrace.
Ramallo gave German a small soft smile and nodded his head. "I know German. I've been trying to tell you all along... But what's important now is that you go in there and you fight for Angie!" and he punched his fist through the air in encouragement.
German smiled thankfully in reply whilst stepping out of the Jet Black Car and closing it shut silently. He crept towards the house, ducking often behind each nearby tree and shrub. '"I'm coming Angie!" he whispered to himself.
He dived into a forward roll, impersonating a secret agent from a typical spy movie. The smooth wooden door was now at his reach. He could hear mumbles of bangs and frantic voices shouting that came from the other side of the door. Heart racing, legs trembling, he slowly opened the door...
Pastel colours filled the hallway, full of warmth and welcome. It was beautifully decorated, full of lovely art pieces and flowers. German took one gentle step onto the pale, wooded floor when something caught his eye. A purple enveloped letter was lying across the windowsill. But that wasn't what caught his attention, it was the neatly hand written words "German Castillo" on the envelop.
German took the letter carefully and pulled it towards him. More lettering filled the envelop. His hand grew weak at realization. "She wrote this letter when she was in Paris..." he whispered in astonishment.
The tips of his fingers were edges away from tearing the envelop open when a cry belonging to Angie echoed the house followed by a thud. "Angie!" he gasped in concern. Quickly forcing the purple envelop into his pocket, he rushed up the stairs.
A dark shadow started moving out of the room furthest away. Panicking, German quickly crouched behind the top of the stair case as he desperately tried to steady his breathing. Two loud heels trotted along to wooden floor edging nearer and nearer...
"Esmeralda?" called a sharp voice. The rhythmic footsteps stopped, "yes?"
German threw his hand over his mouth to cover his sigh of relief.
"Go get Angie's toothbrush and that from the bathroom." ordered Priscila.
Esmeralda groaned to herself before replying, "Of course." She turned around and strided across to the first door on the right side, the door closing gently behind her presence.
German leaned his head around anxiously and saw an object that shone bright, the light catching it's gold material - A key. The golden key was held in the keyhole that belonged to the bathroom door.
German's eyes sparked at an idea. On all fours, he crawled along the floor boards carefully until he reached the door holding the key. Swiftly, reaching the key, he began turning it when a "Click" came from the lock.
"Priscila!? Priscila!?" Yelped Esmeralda as she pulled and pulled at the door handle to open. "Priscila the door won't open - it's locked!"
German's eyes shot up as the adrenaline and fear raced through his body. Acting fast, he shoved the key into his trouser pocket and leapt for the door which was two doors away from the bathroom. Quickly but silently he entered the room and closed the door behind him.
Priscila marched across the hallway to the bathroom door. "What?" Priscila laughed humorously but as she attempted to open the door, her laugh stiffened. "Esmeralda how could you be so stupid!"
Confident that the two villains would be occupied for a while, German raised his ear away from the door. Letting out a deep, slow breath, he turned to face the room.
Silently he sat on the bed, deep in thoughts. "Oh Angie where are you..." he thought aloud.
And then his question was answered.
German lept from the bed at the discovery. His heart ached in pain at the sight of the beautiful woman lying still on the floor. Her eyes were closed peacefully as her head was tilted on her right side.
He rushed across the room towards Angie whilst leaving a path full of tears behind. The trembling legs finally gave away and he fell to the floor willingly by Angie's side. Caressing her golden hair he gave the love of his life one single kiss on the lips.
Angie's eyes began to flicker but successfully opened. Her head throbbed with a sharp pain every other second. As her blurred eyes began to adjusted she fixed upon the only man she ever loved, German. He pulled her into a tight emotional hug. "I thought I lost you Angie, I thought I was too late."
"She can't get rid of me that easily." Angie joked softly.
German immediately pulled back, his expression serious and concerned. "Who? Angie what happened?"
"Priscila. She was shouting - oh she was so angry. She picked up the vase and..." She grasped her swollon lump on the top of her head, "And she must have hit me but then... but then I woke up and you were here."
German pulled Angie into a hug again, he craddled her gently as he began to whisper "Angie we need to get you to the hospital right now -"
"Well if it isn't Prince Charming come to rescue his Sleeping Beauty." interrupted a smug Priscila as she stood at the bedroom doorway.
