Angie froze. Her heart beated fast as it shattered... again. A million pieces she'd picked up over the last year in attempt to mend her heartache, ruined. She felt a thick lump at the back of her throat whilst trying to hold back her tears. Each breathe grew more shaky than she had ever experienced.
Her mind was too occupied with emotion and heartache to pay any attention to German and Priscila. She could just scarcely hear their heated debate;
German's eyes widened in shock at Priscila's presence "What are you doing here Priscila? You know I've cancelled this date."
Panicking, he quickly looked at Angie to find a depressed, heartbroken expression. She looked at him lifelessly and stared.
Priscila gasped in reaction and turned away to release a devilish smirk. She quickly turned back to face German with a shocked expression, "Oh German, I didn't know I'm terribly sorry! When can we plan our next date? I've loved all our other ones." She smirked over in Angie's direction as if to provoke her into retaliating. Angie however, was still lifeless, taking no notice of her whatsoever.
"What?" German asked in astonishment. He ran his fingers through his hair in stress, his eyes coldly glaring at her. "Priscila I haven't been on one single date with you. Today would have been to first... Why are you lying to -"
"German! Me lying? As you know I am Priscila Ferro, I do not lie!" Priscila's eyes narrowed at this point. Her plump lips pierced,
German shook his head in disbelief and clenched his fists in frustration, "I'm not lying!" German shouted, "You-"
But German was broken off by a strong, emotional call, "German!" said Angie.
Priscila's eyebrows rose in surprise and German turned to Angie with a desperate plea across his face.
Angie softly cleared her throat and began, "German, I wouldn't ever dream of hurting you. Why? Because I love you." Tears raced down her pale cheeks and her eyes filled with sadness and pain. The sparkle of happiness and hope - gone. After a heavy breath, she continued;
"When you love someone, you would never break their heart. You would never make them feel this upset, this hurt... this broken. And after everything, I took a chance. I actually believed that you loved me, that I would be happy with you. Well, I think this has shown how wrong I really am.
I've realized that it was hope that brought me here to see you. I wanted to believe that you really did love me. And now I will leave with reality. Reality showing me that you will only hurt me.
I will always love you German, I love you so much. But my heart can't take any more of this pain... Good-bye German - and this time, for good."
After her final words, she gave German once last smile. This smile wasn't like any other. It was a sad and lonely smile, a serious and meaningful smile. A smile that meant 'Goodbye'.
Angie turned away and slowly began to walk away. Above Priscila's cheer of "Farwell!", Angie could hear German's beg, "Angie! Angie don't go! Please! I can explain everything! Angie! Angie I love you!" But despite this, Angie took one last deep breath and continued along her path, leaving German in despair. His face fell into his hands - "She's gone! And she's gone forever" he cried to himself. He broke down into a flood of tears and said no more.
Just as Angie began her walk away from this mess, she froze at the voices that called her name. Her heart melted as she turned to greet them with a tearful joy, "Pablo! Vilu! What are you doing here?!"
"We're coming to take you home!"
