Your friends decided to put on a pool party, which surprised you because they weren't really into parties more into working. But you didn't question it. By the time you arrived at the house at noon the place was filled with people. You brought an overnight bag, knowing you would be spending the night. You put your stuff in Corbyns bedroom. You walked back down and ran into Lydia and Logan.

"Y/N! You're here!" Logan cheered vlog camera in one hand, a red solo cup in the other. You laughed at him, walking past him after waving and finding your best friends.

"Y/n, finally you're here! Guess who's here?" Zach asked, pulling you outside. You raised your eyebrow at him.

"Zach Efron?" You asked sarcastically.

"No, Gabe Erwin!" He exclaimed in a hushed tone. "You know your ex. Oh, and he brought a girl with him. They were holding hands."

"What? No way?" You asked, shocked he would be there. Zach nodded his head. Corbyn appeared out of nowhere.

"They are dating, Jonah just informed me that Gabe introduced her to him as his new girlfriend." He said, looking at you with sad eyes.

"What?" You asked, not really knowing whats up with the sad eyes.

"He's winning. He's winning the after a breakup competition." Corbyn said, making you laugh a little.

"What? No. He's too mature for that shit." You excused, laughing a little.

"Yeah, thats what I thought when I heard Christina got a new boyfriend before I got a girlfriend." Corbyn rolled his eyes, jokingly.

You looked behind you to see Gabe and his girlfriend laughing. "Okay, maybe he's winning."

"You gotta do something and do it quickly, he is coming over here," Zach said quietly.

"Y/n!" You heard Gabe greet you. You turned to see him with a tall blonde girl at his side.

"Gabe! Hi!" You put on a smile, looking at him, squinting. It was mostly because of the sun in your eyes.

"Y/n, this is my girlfriend Chloe. Chloe this is Y/n." Gabe introduced, smirking at how he was winning.

"Hi Chloe, I'm actually his ex. It's not a bad word Gabe." You said laughing a little, lightening the mood. Chloe laughed along with you.

"Yeah, he's talked about you. Nice to meet you." She said, offering her hand for you to shake. You shook her hand and looking behind you to see Zach gone and Corbyn standing there with a smile on his face.

"Oh, how rude of me. Gabe, you know Corbyn. Chloe this is Corbyn, my friend." You introduced, making Corbyn come out from behind you. He shook Chloe's hand.

"Gabe, nice to see you again. Chloe, nice to meet you and I'm actually her boyfriend, she just gets nervous to tell people that we're dating. You know, 'cause of the fans." He greeted, Gabe's eyes going wide eyed at you two. Not expecting it to happen so soon. You smiled at Corbyn then back to the other couple. Corbyn's arm wrapped around your waist.

"Why didn't I see this coming?" Gabe asked, mostly to himself

"What do you mean?" you asked, keeping a smile on your face.

"Y/n Y/l/n and Corbyn Besson. I kept seeing edits on Instagram about you two when you and I were dating."

"Wait, your Corbyn Besson? From the band that is hosting this party?" Chloe asked, looking at him weirdly, changing the subject.

"Yeah, that's me. This is my house. Yeah." He sounded so humble. Gabe still looking at you with a stern look on his face. He was pissed, you could tell. His theories of you and Corbyn were confirmed. He broke up with you because he thought you had feelings for Corbyn. Turns out, you did because he has been informed that you two are in fact dating.

"Oh wow, you live here too Y/n?" Gabe asked, his hold on Chloe's waist tightening.

"Yeah, she does. She actually just moved in a couple days ago." Corbyn said, puffing his chest a little. They were definitely having some type of competition, trying to see which couple is winning.

"Well, congrats Y/n. You seem really happy." Gabe said, accepting defeat.

"thanks, you too." You mumbled as they walked away, eventually just leaving the party.

"What the hell was that?!" You slapped Corbyns chest, not separating yet.

"Ow." He exclaimed, playfully. "I saw that smirk on his face when you just introduced me as your friend. He thought he was winning."

"Really Corbyn?" You asked, looking at Corbyn who simply just looked at you, smiling.

"What? I didn't win with Christina. I wasn't letting you lose too." He said making you laugh.

"Why did you two break up? You know why Gabe and I broke up." You asked as the laughter died down. In your mind, you thought he broke up with you because he couldn't handle having to worry about you all time and being jealous. He was definitely the jealous type. But he had never really given you a good enough reason to why he broke up with you. Maybe it was because of Corbyn or maybe it was because he knew eventually you'd end up together, but you two weren't together. You and Corbyn just got out of very serious relationships. 

"You don't have to answer me if you don't want to." You added, not yet separating from his arms.

"Um, no it's okay. Well, we started fighting a lot. She got jealous. She accused me of cheating. When I went to go surprise her, I saw her in bed with a football player. We broke up, I came back home, went to your place and bawled my eyes out. A few weeks later, they are officially dating." He explained, looking down to his free hand.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know she cheated." You wrapped your arms around his mid torso, his wrapped around your waist.

"It's okay. You were there every step of the way." He mumbled into your hair.

"damn straight! What kind of person would not help their best friend in a time of need?" You mumbled into his chest. Pulling away you looked up to see him looking down to his feet in disgust.

"Whats wrong? Your shoe game is strong, no need to look at your shoes and have that look" you tried to make a joke. He just slightly smiled but it sprung back to a frown.

"I don't want to be your best friend. Y/n, I have feelings for you. Feelings a friend shouldn't be feeling for their best friend." he explained.

"Oh."
