Jack Avery

--

You were sitting in your dorm, at your desk. You were reading drinking a cup of tea when you get a phone call from your best friend, Jack Avery. He probably calling to tell you that he landed in LAX and was on his way to the compound. You sighed as you swiped right to answer the call.

"Go for y/n"

"Y/n, hey!"

"Hey, what's up?"

"I just wanted to call and tell you that we just landed. Meet us at the compound?"

"Uhm, yeah sure of course."

You ended the call, signing.

You cannot keep being in love with your best friend.

You pulled on a jacket and your black and white converse on, grabbing your keys and phone and out the door you went.

When you finally arrived at the compound, it had been an hour after you left your dormitory. The boys made it back before you did.

"Y/n, hey! How's the college life?" Zach asked as you walked into the living room.

"It's good. you know just being woken up to moaning and the bed repeatedly hitting my wall from my neighbors." You said sarcastically.

"Wanna give them a taste of their own medicine?" Jonah jokes, making you wink at him.

"Time and place, Baby. Just give me a time and place." You continued with the joke, laughing at the end.

"Y/n!" You heard Jack from behind you.

"Hey! uhm, before we all hang out can we talk?" You asked Jack before he got a chance to sit down with the rest of the group. He nodded his head and went right back up to his room, you following closely behind.

"What's up, what did you want to talk about?" Jack asked, taking a seat on his bed.

"I need you to tell me you don't have any romantic feelings for me." You blurted. "Before you say anything I want to explain. You already know that I have feelings for you and that I didn't want to act on those feelings mostly because we're friends. I don't want to ruin that. But also because I didn't want to hear you reject me. But now, I need you to say those words. I need you to say you don't like me that way. I need to hear those words come from your mouth enable for me to move on. I have to move on."

When you finally finished ranting you looked up to Jack to notice his shocked expression at you being so blunt.

"Well?"

"Uhm, What if I say it but only because you want to move on?"

"What? No, Jack I'm asking you tell me to move on unless you don't me to move on?"

"I don't want you to move on. Y/n, I have those same feelings for you. When I was out on tour all I could think about was you. I bought you little souvenirs. After every concert we had, I bought you something from that city." Jack said getting up and walking to his closet to bring out a box of all the little trinkets he's been collecting to give to you.

"After every phone call we had, I went to bed with a big smile on my face. Because you're the first person i think of in the morning and the last person I talk to when I go to sleep." Jack said earning a tear to slowly fall out of your eye. You couldn't beleive what you hearing. The boy you liked, liked you back.

"Jack..." You whispered, looking over all the little souvenirs.

"Y/n, if you still want me to tell you to move on, I will. I just want you to be happy. And if that means someone else is making you happy, then move on. But if there isn't anyone else, I want to take you out on a date." Jack said, taking a hold of your hand.

"Jack, there isn't anyone else." You smiled up at Jack as he pulled you in for a tight hug.

"Good because if not, I would have been heartbroken." He mumbled against your hair.
