i woke up in ethan's arms, smiling at the warm feeling it always gave me. my head was lying on his chest that was rising and falling slowly. i could his heart beating softly and sleepily.
i pressed a soft kiss onto his chest before i got out of bed, rubbing my eyes with my small fists.
"princess." i heard ethan's deep and tired voice call out the nickname that i loved.
"what's wrong?" i chuckled as he sat up and ran his hands over his face.
"come back to me." he pouted and held his arms out, making my heart melt.
"it's almost 11, e. it's time to get up." i smile and walk over to the bed.
i place my hands on his cheeks, that were a little puffy from waking up, and kissed his lips softly.
when i pulled away the same little pout was on his lips, "i want another kiss," he muttered.
"you have to get out of bed." i giggled at how clingy he was being, it was adorable.
"but i don't wanna get out of bed." he groaned.
"then no more kisses." i shrug and leave my room, knowing he'd follow me.
when i got to the kitchen, i felt his arms wrap around me from behind, making me smile.
"fine, you got me," he chuckled as he turned me around by my waist, "so where's my kiss?"
i rolled my eyes playfully before wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing his soft pink lips. his arms snaked around my waist and he pulled me closer to him, our chests pressing against each other.
his hand found its way to my bottom, squeezing it lightly and making me gasp. he took the opportunity to slip his tongue into my mouth.
he pulled away with a big smirk on his slightly reddened lips, leaving me to catch my breath. my cheeks were flushed red and my lips were swollen and probably bright red too.
"let's go get breakfast." he said casually and walked towards the front door where he left his shoes after coming over last night, when he showed me his brand new tattoo.
"o-okay."
his bottom lip was trapped between his pearly white teeth as he stared at me, making my cheeks heat up even more.
god, i probably look like a tomato right now.
"you comin', princess?" he chuckles and i quickly nod, running to my room and slipping on a pair of comfortable shorts because i was only in one of ethan's huge sweatshirts.
i put on my shoes and walked back out to ethan, taking his hand in mine and smiling as he lead me out to his car.
his thumb gently drew small circles against my skin as i buckled up with my free hand. he does the same before he starts driving, our intertwined fingers placed in my lap.
music from the radio played quietly as we drove. i almost fell asleep again because of how calming it was, reminding me of once when i couldn't sleep and ethan took me on a nice late night drive.
"we're here, elle." ethan's voice interrupts my thoughts and we both hop out of the car.
we walk into the cute little restaurant hand in hand, "two?" i hear the hostess ask with a big smile on her face as ethan nods.
she grabs two menus and leads us to an empty booth where we sit across from each other. she places them down before telling us our waiter would be with us soon and walking off.
i grab ethan's hand from across the table and he smiles as he continues to look through the menu.
my fingers slowly trace the tattoos on his arm until i got to the small rose that i loved. i ran my fingers softly over the skin that was still slightly red because it was new.
"i'm glad you like it." he smiles as i look up at him.
"i love it."
"i love you." he grins and i giggle quietly before telling him i love him even more.
