What is love?

People say that love makes you do crazy things. But what I don't understand, is why. Why do people fall in love so quickly and can as easily fall out of love? How was Shakespeare able to right the pain of true love if he had never experienced it himself? Was it a friend or stranger down the street? Nobody really knows how he felt when he wrote Romeo and Juliet, or why he did. But he brought light upon the situation. That loves is strong enough to bring together two people and end up hurting and dying over a situation of confusion.
The pain brought by love is undeniable. The pain can be felt and seen on someone's face. I don't understand why love couldn't be strong enough to make Romeo and Juliet wait but love makes people do crazy things.
If someone hadn't experienced true love, how could people say true love is fake.
Love is just an uncertain amount of possibilities of what ifs.
