Inside, everything was shining. Bright lights dangled down from the ceiling, golden and silver balloons floated around, pictures of Taehyung were plastered onto the walls, a big 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIM TAEHYUNG' sign was hanging from one side of the wall to another, the stage at the front of the hall was taken up by a DJ, and the huge room was FULL of boys, girls, men, women, children.
Everyone was smiling and laughing. Little kids were running around, chasing each other. I smiled as I looked around, seeing how happy everyone was. Among all this, I couldn't see Taehyung anywhere.
"Rosie?" Someone said from behind me.
I turned around to see Tae's mom standing behind me with a smile. I grinned as soon as I saw her, happy to see her again.
"Oh Rosie~" she said, smiling and hugging me. "It's been so long!"
She expressed her worries from when she saw the article about me and Jimin, and told me that I shouldn't stress about it.
"If he really matters to you, and the relationship really matters to you, those comments won't have to be a worry. Just ignore them," she said.
I thanked her and she moved on, greeting the other guests. As soon as I stepped away, I was greeted with another hug; it was Taehyung. Immediately, I smiled and tightly hugged him back. I don't know why, but tears slowly appeared in my eyes. Before Tae could see, I quickly wiped them away. He looked so happy. A whole table was filled with gifts which were piled up to the ceiling, and some were on the floor beneath.
"This is amazing," I said.
"It is," he replied, looking around.
Before I could say anything, we were interrupted by another group of boys. They were probably childhood friends. I quietly walked away without Tae noticing.
Slowly, more and more people entered, filling up the room. I'm pretty sure Tae doesn't even know half the people here...
"We're sitting on the table at the front," Yoongi said from behind me.
I nodded and followed him. All the members - except for Taehyung - were crowding around a small round table, laughing and joking around. Jimin waved me over to sit on an empty seat between him and Jungkook.
A few minutes after I sat down, Kookie gave me a blanket to cover my legs since my dress was pretty short (it's an inconvenience to the guests). I thanked him as he placed it on top of me.
"Why a pirate?" I asked him, referring to his costume.
He smiled. "It makes me look more manly."
I laughed. "You're already manly though, Jeon Jungkook."
"You think so?" He asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
I laughed and pushed him playfully. Suddenly, a bunch of massive party poppers exploded as Taehyung's birthday cake entered the room. It was HUGE - probably so that everyone at the party could have a slice. Everyone clapped as V made his way to the front.
"Thank you so much to everyone who came," he started. "I've never had a party this big and it's a little overwhelming but it's really fun so far so I wish everyone here can have fun too! Thank you guyssss~~"
Everyone clapped and 'whooped' (Bangtan members were the loudest) as Tae cut the cake. Slowly, people began to walk to the front table to grab a piece of cake.
