I got this idea from @moonwatchersister so thank you very much for this idea! I'm glad you guys like this story so much! 200 reads, I'm so happy! Thanks, guys, really.
I walked up to the dragonets of destiny. Moon had decided to stay behind. Winter had dared me to tell the prophecy dragonets that Morrowseer was my father. Moon had backed out of this by saying "I have a lot of life left to live, so you should do it. At least Sunny can't poison you!" She had said encouragingly. "Yeah... but Glory can melt my face off, Clay could whack me into a wall and break my neck if he wanted to, and Tsunami... I'm dead." I murmured. "Hide behind Starflight." Qibli suggested, nuzzling me. I nudged him. "Can't someone go with me, so there will at least be witnesses?" I complained, pulling a muffled giggle from Kinkajou.
"Nope, you could have done it with Moon, but I guess she's too much of a chicken!" Winter chuckled.
Now here I was. Glory had come for a private meeting, and they were done now and ready to leave. "Wait! I need to tell you something!" I yelled. Glory stopped and stared at me. Sunny gave a loud laugh. Clay cocked his head, and Tsunami looked bored. Starflight was glancing in the wrong direction. "Hi, Starchaser! How are you doing? Good? I'll assume good." Sunny smiled.
"Ahem... so you all know Morrowseer, right? The... evil... dragon who kind of... kept you under the mountain and away from the light of day for six and a half years?" I asked nervously. All of them looked alarmed. "Is that son of a spitting camel here?" Tsunami asked. I cleared my throat. 'Back away, back away. You're already dead.' I thought. "Um... kind of." I chuckled. "What do you mean, kind of?!" Glory growled. "Um... well... you know me and Moon right?" I chuckled, trying not to start screaming and running. "Yes..." Starflight frowned, finally finding me in the room.
"Well... Morrowseer is kind of my dad... and that means..." I started to grin stupidly. "That... uh... the dragon that screwed up your life... is my dad... so that means that I'm descended from your... jailer!" I was now smiling widely and stupidly.
Every single one of their reactions were priceless.
Clay backed away into a wall like a dusty torpedo. He looked around. "STUPID SHADOWY NIGHTWING!" He yelled. "STUPID KESTREL AND YOUR LIZARD FRYING FIREBREATH!" He paced around.
Tsunami launched herself onto me, and I slipped under her. "NO MORE TRAPPING ME UNDER MOUNTAINS!" She snapped. I jumped in front of a stalactite. "You aren't planning on trapping me again are you!" She asked, almost slamming the ground as she leaped at me. I moved out of the way, and her snout smacked into the hard rock. She looked stunned. "DON'T YOU DARE TAKE AWAY MY RIVER!" She growled in a daze.
Glory gazed at me sternly, and I backed up a few steps. "If you so much as come within five dragon lengths of me, I will forcefully open your mouth, and spit venom down your throat." She growled, flexing her fangs threateningly. "No one is ever going to kill me!" She snapped.
Sunny simply glanced at me with wide eyes. "You... aren't going to trap us somewhere are you, no of course you wouldn't, why would I think that, why would you do that, I have no idea, I'm hungry now and I'm leaving because I don't want to watch anymore and it's really stressful in here and goodbye!" She yelped and left.
Starflight seemed to be trying to hide in the shadows. "You aren't going to read my mind are you? Are you going to burn my scrolls? Please stay away from my scrolls... please don't judge me because I'm blind." He mumbled. I laughed at the amount of utter chaos. I slowly backed away, and Glory snuck up behind me. She curled her long tail around my wings and pinned them to my body so I was trapped. "You won't trap us again... right? You aren't going to hurt anyone? Riiiiiight?" She asked. I gulped, and nodded.
'Winter, when I'm through with you, you're going to wish that you actually were Morrowseer and taking the dare." I grumbled. Glory let me go, and I heard the hyperventilating thoughts of every dragon in that room. I found my group again. They waited eagerly. "Clay shot into the wall, Tsunami is knocked out and acting drugged, Glory wants my melted head on a spike, Sunny had a heart attack and Starflight is worried about the library." I took a deep breath. Qibli was laughing, Winter was almost choking, Kinkajou was curled up into a ball covered in yellow, lime green, and purple happiness. Umber snorted, Moon was hiding her giggles, Carnelian was rolling her eyes good-naturedly. Turtle was watching with wide eyes. He pointed behind me, and I turned around.
"Sooooooooo. I'm guessing you want a bad time?" Tsunami asked, hissing. "I'm screwed, aren't I?" I asked. Glory nodded. "So... this was a dare. Was it true?" Asked Clay. "Um... yes." Qibli said, turned a shade of red. "Please don't strangle Star. I... care too much for her." He turned pink now. "Jeez, Qibli. I think you're a RainWing with all the different colors you're turning!" I laughed, despite the fact that Tsunami's jaws were daaaaangerously close to my face. She let me go, and I zipped behind Qibli.
"Protect me, loyal Outclaw!" I cried, curling into a black ball, the stars under my wings glittering. "Welp. Sunny and Starflight are traumatized now. Thanks." Glory growled. "Oh shoot." I realized. "Glory's my queen."
Glory stared at me, like that hadn't occurred to her. "You are grounded!" She said regally. "Awwww, man!" I mumbled. "And you have to clean up the mess Starflight made while running to the library." Clay added. "What kind of mess? Piddle?" I asked, pulling some giggles from my clawmates. "Yeah... piddle." Tsunami said, shooting me a glare that said 'take me seriously'.
"Wait, we were the ones who dared her." Qibli said, but Winter stuck his tail in Qibli's mouth. "No, it's fine. Let Star clean up Starflight's... piddle."
(Time skip)
"Hey Winter!" I called. It was Christmas time.
"What? Have you got a present for the magnificent Winter?" He asked. I gave him a covered bucket. He opened it to find a bucket of yellow liquid. He looked at me strangely. "Lemonade?" He asked. "I helped Starflight make it. I didn't really have to try." I giggled. I walked away, smiling as Winter mentioned how strange the lemonade tasted.
(Thanks so much, moonwatchersister. Thanks for the support, and the ideas!)
