The Outbreak

I let out a horrific scream, hot tears streaming down my cheeks as my legs quivered and my body fell to the ground, I pick up the limp kitten shouting in agony,"Ringo, w-wake up, buddy"I wailed, as blood sunk into the caverns of my palms. I couldn't believe what was laying motionless before me, my heaving cat as she took her last breathes and she grew cold. I screamed louder, holding her to my chest as blood smeared onto my grey,'smeg head' shirt.

  I soon heard an alarming and crazed growling from the corner of the room, my body froze in shock. I saw a woman, with wild hair falling in different directions, her mouth filled with blood pouring from her tongue as her jaw look mangled from her bottom lip, trailing up to her cheek.  I tried to make out more of her terrifyingly gorey features, as animal body parts still hung from her teeth, my eyes blurred from the burning tears.

  My breathing grew heart-stoppingly heavy, and I stumbled back, leaving my lifeless companion on the floor, she noticed my presence and lunged toward me, clawing at my face as I brought up my hands grabbing her wrist as her fluids, from her mouth, spilled onto my face, I gagged from this, along with her reeking stench. I panted heavily as her nails clawed into my soft skin, splitting the surface and I winced in pain. "Who-what are you? Why did you do this you monster?!!"I spat tears mixing in with the salvia and blood onto the floor. My arms started growing weak from the consitant harm I was trying to avoid, my arms soon gave out and her snashing teeth almost biting into my plump cheek, before a glass shattering sound was heard and the insane woman fell to the ground beside me, I heaved trying to process the whole situation as I broke down crying on the floor.

  A figure stood above me, a sound of an angered male smashing something that made disgusting sounds as I fliched hearing a skull crunch. I looked to my right, my eyes widened in dismay, the woman's skull broken open as puddles of blood spilled out of her pink colored brain and sat up quickly. I crawled over and my stomach twirled, I threw up at the gross sight, remembering every detail as it scarred my memories.

  A warm hand embraced my back and my breath hitched,"Thomas?"I asked panicky. A voice returned, replying to me,"What?"he shot back, closing his eyelids unable to comprehend the disturbing sight before him. I hugged him fiercely and cried into his collarbone,"Thank you"I sobbed, gripping onto Tom's signature navy blue hoodie and snuggled into the comforting fabric.
