"Baby we should get up. I want a piece of Jordan's Mate." I said.
I can't see Mirabella's expression. Although I can guess she groans.
"No Axy five more minutes." Oh gosh she gave me a pet name. I love her so much, she's adorable.
"Adorable?" Uh oh crap.
"I thought I was hot." She pouted and gave me puppy dog eyes and batted her eyelashes . I couldn't resist the trifecta.
"I'm not going to win this am I?" I ask while twirling my mates beautiful curly hair.
"Axel Baby are you ever going to win anything?" She chuckles. I block her out of my mind so I can tease her.
"Mirabella, I'm going to win EVERYTHING." I say trying not to laugh at her shocked face.
"I I I I'm s-so-rey." She stutters as she cowers away crying into her knees. Oh no I actually made her cry. I didn't mean to.
Comfort her, you IDIOT. I can't believe you made her cry trying to tease her. I would kill you if I could. My wolf told me.
I try to reach for her arm but she pulls away. I try to talk but she cuts me off. I result to my last option, I beg for her. I let her back in my mind.
"Baby I'm sorry I was just kidding." I try to grab her chin but she swats my hand away.
"Butterscotch please look at me, I'll do anything." I practically beg her. I'm almost on my knees.
"Anything?" She says with puffy eyes with a big smirk.
"Yessssshh." I'm not sure if this is good or bad.
"Ok give me a piggy back ride to the kitchen." She's back to normal. Although this is annoying, I still smile the biggest I can manage without hurting myself.
I throw her on my shoulder as she giggles the whole time. You would think I would hate this, but she is kissing my neck almost making me drop her as I shiver under her soft touch. Just I'm about to go into the kitchen I hear.
"NIGHT SHIFT PACK APPROACHING!" The beta Caden yells.
Night shift why is that familiar? I ask my wolf. Before he can answer.
My mate speaks up. "Nigh-hh-tt Shift?" Mirabella barely squeaks out due to her shaking.
"Yes why?" I ask. What's going on why is she acting like this?
"My old pack." She gets out before sobbing on my shoulder. I have never seen her like this. So broken it's so devastating. I try to comfort her this time she is actually letting me comfort her instead of what happened in our room.
Something is going on and I will find out but now I must comfort my mate even though I'm so angry.
The front door opens and a young teenage couple walks in and angrily yells. "Mirabella Ellie get your ass in that car." The boys causing Mirabella to whimper. I growl using my alpha voice I yell.
"Don't ever yell at my mate!" He ignores me and pulls Mirabella off my shoulder and pushes her out the door in one swift movement.
I run up to Mirabella just before I reach someone punches me. Next thing I know I'm slipping into darkness. I can hear Mirabella scream my name but I can't move or speak then I notice I can't breathe.
