~~~Easton's POV~~~I pull into the parking lot of Charlie's Escape, turn off the engine, and head up to the side entrance. "Well, I haven't seen you in a while man," Bobby who works as the bouncer mentions. I greet him with our handshake and he lets me in. I'm met with the usual smell of whiskey and sweat the second I walk in. "Aye Easton, whatever you want it's on the house!" Charlie shouts with a smile once he recognizes me. Charlie owns the place and lets me drink here even though I'm underage because my father did a huge favor for him back in the day.
I find my usual barstool and casually settle into it. Charlie greets me with a bottle of Jack Daniels and tells me that a bartender will be with me shortly. I begin to pour myself a glass of Jack when someone stops me mid-pour. "Excuse me but I'm the one who gets paid to pour drinks around here," she says and I glance up to find a girl about my age with fiery red hair. She effortlessly finishes off my glass and slides it towards me. I'm not usually interested in redheads but she is something else.
I close my eyes and take a sip, letting the smooth liquid glide down my throat. "Rough day?" She asks, causing my attention to revert to her. "Rough life you mean," I correct her. She snorts and agrees with me. We fall deep into conversation telling each other about our lives until Charlie comes by and tells the girl that her shift is over. "Come on I'll walk you to your car," I tell her and hand her my empty glass. She quickly cleans it and places it on the rack before grabbing her coat and purse from under the counter.
We walk out the back door and head to her car which turns out to be an older single cab truck. She hops in and starts up the engine before looking back at me. "You know I never caught your name," I inform her with a smirk. "It's Maeve, when do you think I'll see you again?" She asks me with a smile. I shrug my shoulders and pull out my phone to exchange numbers. Suddenly she grasps the collar of my jacket, pulling me closer and smashes her lips against mine.
