chapter 6

august 12.

the first day of school.

for some reason my mom was crazy/stupid enough to let kenzie spend the night.

i wake up to my alarm clock beeping at 4:45am.

i shut it off and roll over and see kenzie dead asleep.

i tap her on the arm.

"kenzieeeee, kenzieeeee. KENZIE."

she flinches and nearly falls of the bed.

"huh? what?" she says in her tired voice.

"it's time to get ready." i say with a yawn.

i get out of bed and go to the bathroom.

i look at myself in the mirror and i look awful.

kenzie walks in with messy hair and tired eyes.

"well we look fabulous." i say sarcastically.

"duh." kenzie replies

"im gonna take a shower." i say to her.

"ok, are your parents still here?"

"no." i say. "you can use their shower."

i get out of the shower and go straight to my closet.

skimming through, i find the pair of miss me jeans my sister gave me.

i grab those and a victorias secrete hoodie in the perfect shade of pale pink.

i go to the bathroom and comb my hair out and start putting foundation on.

i apply some liquid eye liner and make the perfect wing on my eyelids.

kenz walks in my room and pulls out from her bag miss me jeans, purple vans, and a white crop top stenciled with purple flowers.

she gets dressed and walks into my bathroom and combs her hair out.

"im so tired dude." she says

i giggle and say in my tired voice "meeeee tooooo."

she and i let our hair air dry to it's naturally straight form.

she applies her makeup and then we both brush our teeth.

"dude we should ask zach for a ride!"

i say to her

"yea sure, text him" she says while smirking.

i text zach right away.

he replies "yea sure, austin is riding along too"

"great." i say.

"what's wrong?" she says curiously.

"that austin kid that was flirting with me a few days ago at the mall? he's riding along." i say annoyed.

"he's cute! it's ok im sure it will be ok."

kenzie says while laughing.

we grab our makeup bags and stuff them into our backpacks.

i sneak into my moms room and steal two pieces of gum for both of us.

i grab my vans and put them on while kenzie is tying hers.

i put some earrings in and put my sparkly nose ring in.

i help kenzie put her cartilage piercing in and then we are done.

five minutes later we hear a car horn.

i grab my pink vans backpack and walk out the door with kenzie behind me.

austin is siting in the back and kenzie climbs into the passenger seat.

zach greats her with a kiss.

i get in and sit next to austin.

"hey, you look gorgeous." austin says looking me up at down.

"thanks, you look good." i say.

we drive over to a coffee place and get some coffee to wake us up, then head over to school."

with my schedule in my pocket i start to get nervous.

"let me see your schedule." austin says.

"oh here" i say handing it to him.

"soooo it looks like we have geography together." he says while smiling.

"oh that's cool." i say nervously

we pull up to school and park.

zach helps kenzie out and holds her hand.

austin grabs my hips and helps me down.

"oh thanks.." i say to him.

we walk up to the school.

it's...HUGE.

zach and austin great their friends and say they'll see us at lunch.

since kenzie and i have the same classes we stick together all day.

we get to 4th period, trig class.

i sit down and kenzie takes the desk in front of me.

a gorgeous guy walks in and sits right next to me.

his hair is long and he pulls it backward with his fingers.

he turns and looks at me and winks.

i think i just died.

the bell rings and it's time for lunch.

the gorgeous boy stops me.

"hey, im harry" he says with his hot smile.

"hey" i say while smiling.

im thinking right about now, good thing i had braces because i wonder if he likes my smile as much as i like his.

"maybe we could grab some lunch together this week?"

"yea sure" i say while pushing the hair away from my face.

"ok, wednesday?" he says while biting his lip.

"that works." i say while studying his gorgeous face.

"well he was HOT!" kenzie says while getting excited.

"i know!" i say "he asked me to lunch on wednesday!" I say squeezing her hand.

i see him walking up to me.

"be chill." i say to kenzie.

"oh hey sorry, i didn't get your number" he says with a smirk.

"oh yea, here give me your phone." i say grinning.

i put my number in his phone.

we get to the end of the day.

kenzie rode home with zach.

i text megan and tell her to meet me at bus 215.

3 minutes later she's here.

we get on my bus and i tell her the news.

"oh my gosh! do you mean the totally hot junior harry styles?"

"yessss!" i say excitedly.

"you lucky lucky girl!" she says to me.

we get to my house.

i can't believe the day i had.

it was perfect.

why can't wednesday come sooner?

is my heart ready to move on?

my head it telling me...yes go for it.

my heart finally agrees.
