"Oh my gosh! Kitty!" I ran to my best friend and pulled her into a big hug. "I haven't seen you in 2 years! Where the hell did you go?"

"We moved, then we moved back here. So my parents decided to let me go back to this school. What happened to your foot?"

"Long story."

Kitty, short for Katherine, was my best friend in 9th grade, also my only friend. But then she had to move. And now she was back!

"So, who's the boy walking into your room?" Kitty asked me.

I looked behind me to see Ace walking into our room. He looked at me and winked.

"My dumbass roommate." I said

"You don't like him?" She asked

I faked a gag, then smiled. "No."

"Dang. Your kids would look so cute if you married him." She snickered

"Kitty!" I smacked her on the arm.

We both laughed.

"Mind if I look in your room?" Kitty asked

"No, not at all." I said, leading her to my room.

I opened the door and let her in. Ace was sitting on his bed, staring at his phone.

"Finally got a friend, Kyrah?" Ace chuckled

"Shut your mouth, Jackson." I sneered.

"His name's Jackson?" Kitty asked

I giggled. "No. His name's Ace Jackson, Ace this is Kitty."

"Your name is actually Kitty?" Ace asked, sitting up.

"No. It's Katherine. My nickname is Kitty."

"Oh, dope." He said, looking at his phone again.

"No one says 'dope' anymore, Ace." I said

"I do." He stated

"Let me rephrase what I said, only idiots say dope, Ace." I said

Ace put his hand on his heart and acted hurt.

"Gee, Kyrah, didn't know you were so mean." Ace said with sarcasm.

"You don't know anything about me." I replied.

"I know you have no friends" Ace joked

"Hey!" Kitty exclaimed. She turned to me. "You were right, he is a dumbass, and a jackass."

Ace looked at me, "You said that about me?"

I nodded innocently. "I can't tell lies."

Kitty burst out into laughter.

"You're the jackass." Ace mumbled

"Whatever." I said

Ace looked at me. "I heard you talking to Kitty out there. Something about marrying me?"

"See he's even a stalker." I whispered in Kitty's ear. "He probably has pictures of me on his phone."

Kitty giggled and Ace looked at me.

"What did you say about me?" He asked

"Who said we were talking about you?" I replied

Ace opened his mouth to say something, then closed it. I smiled.

"No comeback?" I asked, Ace stared at me with defeat. "Thought so."

"You're an asshole, Kyrah." Ace said
