I closed my eyes, knowing I was probably dead, but I didn't feel any pain. I didn't feel anything. I opened my eyes to see the blonde lying on the ground with blood spilling out of his torso. I thought I was the one who was dead. Then who fired that shot? I didn't see the other boy anywhere in sight. I also didn't see whoever fired the gun. Then someone in a gray jacket and a hoodie came into the alleyway.

"Get up, Kyrah." He whispered

I saw a gun in his hand. He must've been the one to kill the blonde. I didn't know who the guy was, but if he killed that blonde guy, I was going to listen to him, because I now knew that he could kill me at any time. I got up from the ground. How did he know my name?

"Come on." He said, I followed him out of the alleyway. After we walked a couple of blocks he put his hoodie down.

"Ace?"

"Are you okay?"

"You killed someone..."

"It was him or you."

I didn't have anything more to say. I looked down, and that's when I noticed that my knee was bleeding through my pants. My knee must've started bleeding when the blonde boy pushed me in the alley. Ace followed my gaze and looked at my knee.

"Come on, we have to get you back to school." Ace said

I didn't say anything and looked down at the ground. Ace started walking to the high school and I followed him. In five minutes we reached the high school. I didn't see my car in my parking space, so I knew Kitty was still out. He opened the door and I walked in. The whole time walking to our room was silent. He opened the door for me and I walked in. Then, I sat on my bed. Ace sat next to me.

"I'm sorry you had to experience that." Ace said

"Why were they asking for you?" I asked

"I can't tell you..." He whispered, looking down and looking ashamed.

"Ok." I said

He got up and walked to his own bed. He laid down on it and let out a big sigh. I had so many questions for him, questions that I know he wouldn't answer, at least not now. Ace got up from his bed and walked into the bathroom, searching for something in the cabinets. Soon, he came out with a white case that said 'first aid kit' on it. That's when I remembered that my knee was bleeding. He sat next to me on the bed. I got up, grabbed some shorts, and went into the bathroom. I quickly changed into shorts. I walked back outside, and Ace was still sitting on the bed. I laid next to him and he took some stuff out of the kit. I closed my eyes and tried to relax. A shooting pain went through my body as I felt a cold liquid on my wound. I winced. Ace looked at me with worry.

"I'm fine." I said

He looked back down at my knee. He took an elastic bandage and wrapped it around my knee. I laid there quietly.

"There." He murmured

He grabbed the case and walked back to the bathroom, putting the case back in the cabinet. He yawned and walked to his bed, then laid down on it. I closed my eyes, and fell asleep.

"You can't let her know, dude." Someone whispered

"She almost got killed yesterday!" I could tell that it was Ace speaking.

I groaned. I slowly opened my eyes and rubbed them, then I sat up. I looked at Ace and the 3 other guys standing there. I gave them a puzzled look.

"How are you doing Kyrah?" One of the guys asked "I'm Ashton." Ashton had dirty blonde hair and brown eyes. He looked like he was always happy.

"I'm Cameron." Said another boy. Cameron had beautiful blue eyes and brown hair. He also looked like he was always happy.

"Dylan." A dirty-blonde guy with green eyes said. He looked like he was never happy.

On Ace's bed I saw him. Sammy Sanders. The guy that I had once loved, but cheated on me with a slut. He didn't talk to me or even look at me.

"That's Sam." Ashton said, pointing at Sammy.

"I know." I grumbled.

They all looked at me, well except for Sammy.

"Care to explain why they are in the bedroom, Ace?" I asked, innocently.

"Just doing some stuff." He said.

He's such an idiot. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my clothes for the day. I walked into the bathroom and changed. I walked out of the bathroom and grabbed my backpack. I opened the door, but before I could leave, someone grabbed my arm. It was Ace.

"Meet me at the park at 5." He said

"Why?" I asked

"You said you wanted an explanation, did you not?"

I nodded.

"So I'll explain at the park." He said

I nodded again. He let go of my arm and I walked out the door.

I sat at an isolated table and put my earbuds in.

"Late night, come home, works sucks, I know, she left me roses by the stairs-"

The music blasted in my ears. I took a bite of the lasagna and grimaced. I swear, my high school had the worst food. Someone sat in the seat across from me, but I didn't notice.

"Say it ain't so, I will not go, turn the lights off, carry me home!"

"Kyrah." Someone said. More people sat at the table. Soon enough I noticed someone looking at me. It was Sammy.

"Kyrah. Can I talk to you after lunch?"

I ignored him, I didn't want to talk to that jackass. I never ever wanted to talk to him again.

"Kyrah." He said a little louder.

I looked up at him. He gestured for me to take off my earbuds. I paused the song and took out the earbuds.

"What?" I said, bitterly.

"Can we please talk? I need to talk to you."

"Well, I don't want to talk to you."

"You're being selfish, Kyrah."

I got up and threw away my trash, he followed behind me. "Huh, sure. I'm the one being selfish." I said, sarcastically.

"You are! How long are you going to hate me for?"

"Forever." I stated

He sighed. Did he give up?

"Just for 5 minutes, then I won't bother you ever again." Of course he didn't...

"Fine." I deadpanned

"Thank you." He said

I sat on a bench, and crossed my arms.

"Speak." I said
