Chapter 6

Katies POV.

I can't believe that today was the day we would go to Magcon. I mean, yeah we've been hanging out with them for a while, but the event seems like a lot of fun! It doesn't start until 2 though, so I have about 3 hours to get ready. I wanted to look nice today. Miranda was in the shower now, so I decided to order a pizza. After I called and set the order, I opened my suitcase and screamed, "HOLY SWEET MOTHER OF BALLS." when I found a Halloween mask in it. I fell back and scooted far away from the bag.

Once I noticed it was just a mask, I moved closer and hooked the edge with my pinky, tossing it across the room. I picked out the cutest outfit I could find. Rose-pink floral high-waisted shorts and a white blouse with a lace outside cover. My shoes were white, heeled sandles. My hair looked good natural today, so I just planned on brushing it out and putting it in a ponytail with my bangs in a small bump. When I put my hair up, the ponytail ended about 3 inches below my shoulder blades. I was proud of how long my hair was. When it was down, it went about 2-3 inches above my waist.

Mir finally got out of the bathroom wearing jean shorts and a Magcon t-shirt with red and black vans. Her hair was pin straight and her makeup was simple, but cute. I took a quick shower and shaved my legs. I got out of the shower and blow dried my hair, making it straight again. I fixed my bangs into a bump and threw the rest into a ponytail. I put on some thin eyeliner on my top lid, ending it with a wing. My mascara was light and I didn't have time for foundation, since we had an hour and it took half of one to get to the Magcon building. I pulled on my clothes and my shoes, then I waited for Mir, and knocked on Shawns door.

Shawn was wearing dark designer jeans and a light-blue button-up shirt, the sleeves rolled up halfway and the first few buttons undone. I pecked him on the lips and asked if he wanted to take a walk around the hotel. We had like 10 minutes before we had to leave, so why not get some exercise? He shut the door after letting Miranda in, then took my hand in his and started walking down the hallway. I opened the door to the stairs and we walked all the way up. The door at the top said, "ROOF. STAFF ONLY."

I smirked at Shawn and he peeked out of the window in the door. No one was on the roof so we slipped through the door and sat on the ground.

"What are you going to sing tonight?" I asked Shawn with curiosity. He grinned and looked at me intently.

"A couple of songs. Say Something, Sweater Weather, and another one that I can't tell you yet." He answered, looking off into the distance with a huge smile on his face. I pretend pouted.

"Aww. Why not?" I said with a frown.

"It's a surprise, babe." He told me, taking my hand and rubbing my knuckles with his thumb. I pulled him closer to me and stroked his cheek. Ugh, his lazy eye just... makes me want to melt into his arms forever. I grabbed his collar and pulled him even closer so I could sit in his lap. He picked me up and wrapped his arms around me, putting his cheek against mine. I put my arms on his and leaned into his chest. We sighed in unison. Now this is heaven.

"We have to get going now." Shawn said, kissing my cheek and pulling us up to stand. I grinned mischieviously and hopped onto his back, saying, "Piggyback ride!"

Shawn laughed and grabbed a hold of my legs, opened the door, and headed down the stairs. I tried to get off so he could go down the stairs without my extra weight, but he just pulled me even closer on his back. He didn't seem to be getting tired, so I let him. We went back to our floor and he finally let me off. I hugged him and he put his arm around my shoulder. We walked to his room, and were greeted by Nash, Cam, Aaron and Miranda, and Matt. Carter, Taylor, Jack J., and Jack G., were down In the lobby.
