Chapter 6
Ohm's POV:
I followed him to the kitchen and he placed the boy in a pen. He then turned to me and took the girl out of my hold. As he placed her in the pen, I felt something or more like somethings rub my legs and I looked down to see two cats rubbing themselves on my legs. I heard Bryce scoff and I looked at him as he looked down at my legs.
"Everything seems to be loving you today," Bryce grumbled as he looked at his cats with betrayal.
"But the only person I want loving me is you," I said which I got a glare from him.
"Regular or decaf," he said and I chuckled.
"Regular is fine," I said and he sets the kettle on the stove.
"What are you doing here Ohm," he asked as I watched him get two small plates.
"Like I said before are we going to the movies," I said which I was greeted with another glare.
"So you're here for another dare then," he said with so much hate that it filled with me guilt.
"Well to be truthful Delirious asked me to come," I said rubbing the back of my head.
"I can't believe he betrayed me," Bryce whispered but maybe I shouldn't have heard that.
The kettle whistled signaling the water was done boiling. He turned his attention back to the kettle and I took the time to study his place. It is pretty bigger than his last place. An extra room for his... kids. That part still surprises me. He's only like 23 and he has twins. But that had me wondering where was Clarissa... she didn't seem like the one to walk away...
I grabbed my phone and to see that it was 8:23 pm I guess Georgia is an hour ahead of Chicago. I looked back at Bryce and saw that he was moving towards the cupboards. There was two hot fresh cups of coffee right in front but the plates were still empty. I looked back at Bryce and my eyes wondered somewhere a little lower. I swear to myself that I'm not gay or bi because I've never felt that ways toward another man before.
But ever since I spent almost a month with Bryce my heart beats for him more than any other girl who's caught my interest. And boy did I spend that year and a half trying to get over Bryce... but his beautiful smile, his bright blue eyes, his blonde hair and his amazing personality. I had lost something that I could never get back no matter how much I tried. Bryce came back with two small loafs of swirled bread and placed one on each plate.
"So Jonathan sent you to me," Bryce said once he sat down on a chair.
"Yeah he told me to fix you or something," I said and he just scoffs.
"Jonathan is such a worry wart I'm fine you don't need to worry yourself," Bryce said and I took a bite out of the bread.
"I mean if you say so," I said not really sure if I should believe him or not.
I could tell from the text messages that there was something clearly wrong with Bryce and he doesn't want me knowing.
"So do you have a place to stay for the night," Bryce asked and I chuckled.
"I sort of just came here the day Delirious told me to come. There wasn't a lot of planning that went into this," I said rubbing the back of my head.
"Well how long did you plan on staying here," Bryce said.
"Well to be honest until Delirious told me you were yourself but other than that probably around a month or two," I said and he shakes his head.
"I guess you can stay for the night and leave in the morning because I'm fine thank you very much," he said as I finished the rest of my coffee.
"And I'm guessing the couch is where I'm going to be sleeping at right," I said jokingly.
"Yes but if you'll excuse me I gotta put my twins back in their beds," Bryce said as he grabbed the plates and placed them in the sink.
I watched as Bryce walked over to his babies and pick them up so carefully. He walked out of the room and I got up to do the dishes. Since he's letting me stay for the night I should do some stuff for him. I finished the last of the dishes and went to get dressed. I took off my shirt and pants and was about to get dressed in my pajamas when I heard a coughing noise. I turned my attention towards the noise and I swear I saw a flustered looking Bryce looking anywhere but me.
"Here's a pillow and a blanket... don't stay up too late goodnight," Bryce said rapidly tossing the blanket and pillow onto the couch and scurrying back to his own room.
... that was weird. I shrugged it off and changed into my pajamas. I wanted to say a proper goodnight to Bryce but as I stepped closer to his room I could hear soft cries. He was mumbling something but I couldn't quite tell what is was... I've made up my kind and I'm going to stay as long as I need too... in order to see a genuine smile on Bryce's face.
Well this is going to be interesting now isn't it. I'm sorry for the month long wait. I was trying to figure out what I wanted to write but couldn't really form the words out. But still I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
With lots of love 💛
