The end of the school year was approaching, I was so excited to see James, I can't remember the last time we spent more than a few days together. I was so busy getting the house ready, cleaning the windows, vacuuming and shampooing the carpets, cleaning the gutters, doing the dishes, EVERYTHING you can think of. I wanted everything to be perfect for when he arrived, I even did the cleaning without magic, well mostly.
The next morning I went with my mom and dad to pick James and Sirius up from King's cross, apparently Sirius had some serious falling out with his parents and up and left so James asked if he could live with us, the vote was a unanimous yes, me not included. I didn't know who this kid was, I just wanted to see my brother again, and nothing was going to get in my way.
The moment he stepped off the train I knew right away this is it, I am going to marry this man someday.
"Hi I am Sirius." The man had said. I am not sure what he had said after that I was just so mesmerized he had a smile that could melt any heart, and eyes so beautiful and deep you could swim in them, and don't get me started on that hair.
Mom and dad decided it would be better to tell Sirius who I really am, Jamie twin (baby) sister of James a witch but different, definitely not a squib, has great control, doesn't need a wand, oh and can kick some major demon butt.
He was very confused, understandably, but was very interested in learning about my school, and wondering how I can do all this stuff without saying an incantation and waving a wand.
So I spent the next few days showing off my magic, moving things with my mind, blowing things up with my hands, and sometimes even premonitions. Sirius was very impressed.
It was the middle of July and Sirius was able to find a place and be out on his own, I was sad but it was great news for him. "He is moving out soon, the two of you must stop this foolishness now." Said mom. "You two can't stay together, you're an abomination to our kind Jamie."
What was I supposed to do I wanted to be with Sirius but my parents would never allow it. He respects my parents too much to defy them.
Time went on James got married to this wonderful woman named Lily. They were meant to have a kid soon.
Then the day for the baby to arrive came. Me, mom, dad, Sirius, Remus, and Peter were waiting in the hospital, everyone was nervous and excited all at the same time.
Sirius pulled me aside and asked "Jamie I am confused we were getting along so well I thought you liked me. What happened? When I moved out I was hoping that you would come with me."
What was I supposed to say, my parents, the people he respects most, forbids it I couldn't do that to him. "It was just a summer crush Sirius, I moved on." And I walked away.
