I had no idea who was walking towards me until I heard a familiar voice. "Are you alright" I hear a male voice asks. Thank goodness it's the head of the guard. I try to stand up, but stumble and fall to my knees; I look up and see him reach out a hand to help me up and I thank him. "Thank goodness it's you, I have something very important to tell you." I say to Zantack. "Was is it?" He says in a deep voice. "I had a dream on who killed my father...."
He told me to wait to explain until he was able to call a meeting. He blew a horn and the invited me into the guard tower. We sat around a table and waited until everyone filed in. Once they were seated I began my story.
Everyone was confused at first but then had a look of realization as they understood. "I think we should find this person and murder them immediately." The red headed guard shouts. Everyone went silent and looked at her with disbelieving looks. "Now don't you think it's a little too early for that?" Jenny says carefully. "I think Jenny has a point." says Kriśtof. "We should take precautions that way nothing else happens." I look around the room and see many nods agreeing with him. "Fine." says Bethany. "Alright, tommorow at dawn we'll send out two search parties to look for any signs of the attacker." says Zantack.
After the meeting I head back to shore and sit on a washed up log. I sigh and pull out my wand and stare at it. "What's that?" says a loud curious voice. "Nothing!" I say jumping up and placing it behind my back. "You sure it's nothing?" says the tall girl with lilac hair, grey eyes, and mint green dragon wings and a tail complimented by grey horns and spikes. "Well, what is it?" she says impatiently. I snap out of my frozen state and answer "uh-uh noth-nothing." "Come on, I definitely know it's something now. Your not very good at hiding stuff." she says. "Fine. You already saw it, it's a wand. A levitation wand to be exact." I say regretfully. "Oooo, cool. Can I see it?" she asks. "No." "Awww, you're no fun." she says with fake disappointment. "Guess I'll have to steal it then." Before I have any time to react she's already behind my back and snatched it out of my hands. "Hey! Give that back!" I yell. "Pretty colors." she says flatly before she tosses it to the ground. "Be careful with that!" "Oops, sorry." I frown at her and ask her name. "Aiea (I-a-ah)." she says. "Pretty name." I say. She says thanks, stretches her wings and then settle's down on the log next to me. "So do you have a job in the village?" I ask. "Yeah, I'm a guard, but I'm off duty right now. I mainly work at night since no one else usually wants to do it. Luckily I don't need too much sleep to be able to stay awake." "True, I know I wouldn't be able to." "That's one nice thing about being a dragon hybrid." she says with a smile. At those words I suddenly break down in tears. "Oh my! Was it something I said?" she asks worried. Through tears I answer, "No, it's just the my father died at the claws of a dragon, or at least I think it was. I can only remember bits and pieces." "That's terrible! I'm so sorry for your loss." "It's fine, thank you though. I think I'll head home now, it was nice meeting you." I say as I get up. As I leave I swear I hear the words sister under her breath.
