Hallo :)

Another update, and I hope this is better than the last. School's as I expected and honestly I know I'm going to hate it this year. Oh well, I'll get through the year. I always do.

Have a good read!

The girl bit her lip as she sat on the beach. Little bits of sand in between her toes and sand sticking to her skin. The girl just wanted to go home, but she knew her home was not here. No matter how hard Hayley tried to fit into the picture, she just couldn't find that photogenic side of her.

Everything felt like way too much. The brunette just wants to run into her mom's arm like a child should be able to do. Yet, Hayley sat outside while the sun was beginning to go down and she was left alone with her thoughts. With another buzz in her phone pocket, Hayley finally decided to check it. She had been away for a few hours. Every part of her heart hurt. She wanted the feeling of being held in a hug so tight the sent of their clothes fills the air and everything is so familiar again. She just wanted the sound of her sister's laugh filling the stiff air and the feeling of her thumbs wiping away her tears like she had always once done.

She just wanted her told life back.

The girl picked up her phone and opened up the recent messages from her cousin.

Paige
Message:
Hayley where are you?

Paige
Message:
Oh god, sweet girl I just heard. Please come back, yeah? Katie is sorry, she'll apologize. We'll fix things.

Paige
Message:
That's it, we're coming to find you. Answer your phone, Hayley. God I can't lose you.

Paige
Message:
I'm so worried. Jesus, if you're not home and we don't find you before it gets dark out we will call the police to find you.

Paige
Message:
Tell me where you are and I'll come alone. We can talk alone if that's what you want, Haybug. I just want to know you're okay. I know, I'm mad too. She wasn't thinking right and even though that's no excuse.

Hayley rubs her head and watches as the ocean crashes agaisnt the shore. No one would understand how much she wanted to hug her mom again. But she didn't want to make her heart hurt even worse. You can only let yourself give people so many chances until you heart is barely together. Trust is so hard to find, but it's so easy to lose. And lots of people took that away from the young girl. She was considered 'selfish' when she realized she was giving too many chances to undeserving people. But when those people broke her again and again -it was okay because they were 'mistakes'.

Hayley sighs. Does she forgive the person who showed her bare love for the past few years? That was being the bigger person, right?

Or was that just hurting yourself more and just pretending that was all part of the process.

"Hayley?"

The girl with soft curls stood at the door with her eyes shut. She didn't want to be here. But her brain screamed selfish and guilty. She didn't want to be back. She just wanted to be alone. Every part of her was either guilty, sad or lonely. She knew well her problems were probably minuscule to half of other's problems some where else in the world.

She didn't even move when her body was pulled into a tight hug. Hayley didn't even speak. Just finally feeling the warm embrace of somebody.

Her dad, Billy moved back to Maryland a few weeks back and ever since her mind was empty and her heart needed someone to hug her like he always did.

"Let's get you to your room." Murmured the voice, wrapping their arm tightly around Hayley and leading her to the teenage girl's
room.

She sat Hayley on the bed and sighed, rubbing the girl's arms. This wasn't the first time Hayley had ever ran off before. No, there had been many times. Even when she was ten, the girl ran off when she was told she would never be as good as her sister.

"Haybug, can you please talk to me? I'm not going any where, god I was so scared. Everytime you do this, I freak out. I've never felt more fear in my life, Hayley Noelle." The older girl mutters quietly, kissing Hayley's cheek.

The younger one sighs and shakes her head, hanging her head low. If nobody wanted to hear her voice, why should she speak? Didn't thay make things easier for everyone? Of course she should talk to her cousin, one of the only people have trusted. But then again she had learned a lot about that world telling truth that was only filled with lies.

She didn't want to cry. She just wanted to sleep and restart the day again. She figured the problem was her. Hayley figured she wasn't as good as her sister. She needed to show her mom she could respect her and do as she says. The thirteen year old needed that praise from her momma. The girl missed that warmth that spread in her heart when she praised her. It braught reassurance.

"Okay. I talked to your mom, and she knows her mistakes. She'll fix this and we'll do it together, I promise you that. No matter what the hell people say, you are Hayley LeBlanc and that girl is one special person".

Hayley just nodded and Paige stood and looked sadly at her younger cousin. She had been around when that girl was nothing but pure happiness and smiles. She had been there for a lot. And over the years as she had grown up into an even more gorgeous young lady, she saw how her happiness had slowly gone away. That positive energy had worn out. It killed her seeing Hayley like this. No matter how hard she tried to get through the mother's mind, she stopped showing appreciation for the girl who deserved it most. But this, this, was over the line. When that short period time happened where Paige really became the young girl's mother. She saw how much it made Hayley sad, even at eight years old.

Now seeing this, it tore her up. And she was determined to fix it.

"Okay bug, let's get you too bed. That's enough for tonight." She sighs, watching as Hayley slowly went under the covers and and pulled the blanket to her chin. Her hand clutching the blanket.

Paige gently kissed the girl's head and brushed the curly strands from her face.

"Night, Hay." She whispers softly to the girl who just nods her head hesitatently.

The woman sighs, and nods, leaving the room and shutting the lights off. She shuts the door and turns around to be faced with a half sorry looking mother and a confused looking teenager behind her.

The cousin looking the mom and the girl both straight in the eyes, giving them a very hard glare. If looks could kill, both of them would've died there.
She pointed at both of them snd pointed to the kitchen.

"We have some talking to do." She says in an icey and bitter tone, making the two nod.

When the younger one stepped closer to speak, Paige only shook her head.

"I don't wanna hear it. You two broke her. She won't even speak to me. What the hell?!" Paige says, getting angrier with every second. Annie hung her head low and nodded, feeling tears in her eyes. She didn't kill the sound of a Paige yelling at her. She had never done something so bad before and she felt even more guilty.

There was silence until the oldest one closed her eyes and nodded.
"Let's go to the kitchen." Was all she said before walking in the direction.

The cousin only nodded at Annie, not willing to show any sympathy for the girl.

With the nod, the teenager followed and Paige took a breath before doing the same.
