I woke up the next morning on Fabian's bed. The sun peeked through the bright curtains and made me squint just the tiniest bit. I heard laughter coming from the main room and stepped out, covering myself with a blanket and rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.
"Good morning, Ellie!" Luke cheered from the couch but I sighed and plopped down next to him.
"Where is Fabian?" I asked as I pulled my knees up to my chest and rested my head against them but Luke just shook his head.
"He went out. It's just you and me, Ellie Bean. I think we need to talk." I heard him say but I shushed him.
"I think you need to shut up and make me some breakfast like the good little friend you want to be." I spoke and Luke looked at me with wide eyes.
"I think you need to shut your mouth, Eleanor James, if you know what's good for you." Luke threatened and I glared at him.
"Like you know what's good for me, Luke Hemmings. I'm not scared of you."
He looked at me and I looked back at him. I wanted to slap him across the face and tell him 'you don't know what the hell is best for me!' "Eleanor, you're insecure -"
"I swear to God if you finish with that line from One Direction I will push you off the balcony." I interrupted and he laughed.
"Eleanor, we do need to talk. I think we've come up with misconceptions about each other and I want to get that straightened out. Like, sometimes I think you're a complete and irrational bitch who can't decide if she loves or hates her mum." Luke mentioned and I clenched my jaw.
"I think that you're an asshole who comes up with these misconceptions about everybody so that he doesn't have to get close to them and eventually become attatched. I think you get hurt to easily when it comes to girls and I think that you only like teasing me because you like to watch the parentless kid get hurt deep down inside. I think that you are an egotistical and indecisive boy who can't make up his mind on whether or not he should dump the girl he's gotten back together with because her voice is actually fake, or if he shouldn't because he's never dated the popular girl in school. That's exactly what I think." I rambled and Luke looked seemingly hurt, but I didn't care.
"Your turn, Luke." I finished and Luke took a deep breath.
"Okay, you want to play that game? Let's see... I think you are an overemotional, misguided and manipulative bitch who tries to get all the sympathy you can get because 'your mum died'. I think you are a stupid, mean, and confused little girl who treats the people who care about her like shit. You blame everything you can on your mum's death when in reality it's your fault for a lot of the things you have done. Tell me if I am wrong, because I would love to know." Luke spoke and I barely noticed I had tears in my eyes until I felt one fall on to my cheek.
"Okay, you're wrong. You know nothing about me, all you've gathered is what people tell you about me. In reality, I'm a seventeen year old girl who has issues because her mum killed herself when her only daughter was eleven and she treats people like shit because she's scared that once she let's them in that they'll leave her, just like her mum did. I'm a girl who feels like she can't trust anyone because she's afraid that once she spills everything about everything that they'll go out and tell the world. I'm a girl who dreams about being able to get this rough patch over with in my life and go to a music school and become a better person. I'm just a girl who wants everything to fall into place with the right people surrounding her. So you're wrong, Luke. I'm not confused nor am I stupid. I am not manipulative and I am most definetly not indecisive." I spoke and he looked at me.
"Just like you said. You know nothing about me." Luke started, his voice sounded deeper, like he was ready to blow his top.
"Please, continue. I would love to know more about the real Luke Hemmings." I spoke as I looked in his eyes and he nodded in agreement.
