Dreaming of running away

"how about here?" I said pointing to the ground

"yea sure" pony said laying down the blanket

He laid it down and we both laid on the blanket

"I got to go to the bathroom" he said

"ok" I opened my book and began to read. Me and pony usually would go out on a picnic with books and read. We liked the quietness of the country. I laid on my stomach and began to read. Pony came back and laid down right next to me

"you miss me?" he said kissing me. I held under his chin very lightly.

"how could I? You were only gone for a minute"

"You had to of missed me or else you wouldnt of kissed me" he laughed. I buriedmy head in my book. Tension was dying down. It was quiet. Pony put down his book at looked at me

"Why can't we do it?"

"do what?"

"you know...live out in the country"

"Pony we have families"

"they can come with us"

"what about the gang?"

"Johnny could live with us and the boys could come out on the weekends"

I shrugged my shoulders. I looked back down at my book. He grabbed my book and put it down

"would you do it?" he asked

"do what?"

"live out here?"

"I don't know" I looked around at the grassy plain "I guess it depends on who comes with me"

He looked at me and I looked back at him

"What of I came?"

"I guess I would want to bring Gavin" Gavin is my little brother. He means the would to me

"god damn it (y/n)!" he stood up "me you Gavin soda and Darry!" he looked at me "we could do it...just us. We could do anything. If we do it together" he grabbed my hand and stood me up

I looked up at him. "pony we can't. We have lives in Tulsa. We can't just drop everything and leave"

"but we could...just us!" I cut him off with a kiss. I went up on my tippy toes.

"someday. But not today"

"I love you" he said kissing my head and pulling me in for a hug. He kissed the top of my head again. "I love you"
