Chapter Seven

Recap : \ Ughh, now I had to find someone in less than twenty four hours that would go to this dinner with me. Thats when it hit me, Sky! /

Dalton's POV

When I got home from the studio I went upstairs and pulled out my phone to text Sky 'Hey Sky!' I waited anxiously for a reply and was excited to see my phone light up 'Hey! what's up?' Should I ask her right away or talk for awhile? 'Thanks for coming out today, it's nice getting to practise in front of someone other than the choreographer :)' I wasn't lying when I said that, it really was nice to have someone else there 'That's good, it was really fun to watch!" I'm glad she liked it, and I'm glad I didn't mess up like Cole did. It was pretty funny to watch though. 'I was wondering, if you would want to go to the dinner with me?' I was really nervous that she would reject me. 'Sure. Do I have to wear a dress? lol' I laughed at that last part. 'Umm yeah its kind of formal...' I hope she'll still come 'Okay, I'll come with Cole and meet you there.' I sighed as the relief set in 'Sounds good, see you tomorrow.' she replied quickly with a simple "k :)" I put my phone down and decided to go down and see if dinner was ready yet.

After I had some dinner I went back upstairs and decided to get some sleep. After I got ready for bed and soon fell asleep thinking of nothing but Skylar.

Skylar's POV

When I got home from Cole's rehearsal I went upstairs to check my Facebook. I logged in only to find a bunch of comments from kids at my school calling me everything from "Fat" to "Disgusting" to "Dumbest Bitch in the world". Ughh, how I loved my fellow peers. Out of the group of us only Shay went to our school and even then she was only in one of my classes. I hate everyone in that dumb place anyway. I know they all hate me back, they've told me, even my teachers have called me stupid. I'm so done with this crap, I wanna move out as soon as I graduate.

I felt my phone vibrate and I looked at the text to see none other than Dalton. 'Hey Sky!' I still don't understand why he texts me, I'm sure he has better friends. 'Hey! what's up?' I doubt much 'Thanks for coming out today, it's nice getting to practise in front of someone other than the choreographer :)' That's weird, I'm not much of an audience. 'That's good, it was really fun to watch!" I wasn't lying there, I kept my eyes on him the majority of the time, I hope he didn't notice! 'I was wondering, if you would want to go to the dinner with me?' Is this a joke!? Why would he want me to go with him? I'm nothing special, what's wrong with him? 'Sure. Do I have to wear a dress? lol' I sure as hell hope not, I feel awkward in dresses when I'm around other people that are gonna look nice. I just know I'll end up looking stupid compared to everyone else. 'Umm yeah its kind of formal...' Damn. Ughh, I really want to go with him though. 'Okay, I'll come with Cole and meet you there.' I sighed. 'Sounds good, see you tomorrow.' I replied quickly with a simple 'k :)' I smiled to myself; I, Skylar Pendery, had a date with a cute boy. Who am I kidding? I have a date.

~~~The Next Morning. Skylar's POV~~~

I woke up to a quiet house. I guess everyone was still sleeping. I went downstairs and looked around the house to see if anyone was awake. Nope. I went into the living room and turned on some cartoons. Yes, I still watch cartoons. After about two hours I started to think that maybe my family wasn't sleeping. I walked into the kitchen to a note on the counter reading 'Gone out to get Cole new dress pants, he seems to have grown out of his old ones. Be home soon sweetie! -Mom

I showered and decided to curl my hair. I needed to look nice for tonight after all. After curling my hair and doing my makeup I decided to pick out the dress I'm gonna wear.

I ended up picking a black and dark purple one that was fitted the whole way down, my mum bought it for me for a school dance but I didn't end up going. I heard the front door click and saw my mum, dad, and Cole. I went to ask my mum about shoes and her face lit up "Oh! I have the perfect ones!" I guess my mum got pretty excited when i dressed up because it didn't happen often.she gave me simple black pumps with a wedge. Ughh heals. I know how to walk in them, they just hurt after awhile.

About half an hour later, an hour until departure, i heard the doorbell ring. I went downstairs and opened the door to find Shay, rocking a beautiful light blue dress with an aqua shine to it. It came to her knees and flared from about the waist down. "Hey! What are you doing here?" Shay smiled "I'm Cole's date." She blushed at the mention of my brother. "You look gorgeous!" She only blushed more "Look at you though! You look hot!"

We walked into the kitchen to find a smiling mum and an annoyed Cole. "This isn't grad or anything mum!" Cole whined "It's just a dinner!" my mum sighed "I know, but you just look so cute!" Cole groaned and i cleared my throat. Cole turned around and widened his eyes when he say Shay. "Wow Shay, you look, ummm, really pretty." Cole's cheeks turn a dark shade of crimson and he hugged her.

"Are we all ready to go?" My mum questioned and we all nodded. "Good. Lets head out then." With that we loaded up the car and drive off to the party.

There we go! A full chapter, sorry for all the short ones, I've had writers block but now its up! I'll try to update every other day, but depending on school work i can't promise that.
