Chapter 69

{November 26, 2021}
Today is dylan and I's four year anniversary. We still live together, obviously. I still never see my dad. I still see my brother and my mom a lot. For Christmas, I will spend half the day with Dylan's family and half the day with my moms side of the family. Thanksgiving is the same way.

"Babe, I'm going to pick up some lunch! I'll be back!" Dylan shouted from the living room.

"Alright!" I shouted back from the bedroom. We didn't really have anything planned today, just chilling around the house all day then we're heading to dinner later. I was picking up some things around the room. My phone started ringing. I walked over to the bed and plopped down, grabbing my phone. I answered it without looking.

"Hello?"

"Hey, baby. Do you need anything from the store? I'm picking up some snacks for our movie night after dinner."

"Can you get me some more pads?"

"Of course, baby. Is that it?"

"I think we need more orange juice. Hold on. Let me go check." I jumped up and walked to the kitchen, the phone still pressed to my ear. I opened the fridge.

"Yeah. Pick up some more orange juice and if you want more milk now, you should get that too."

"Alright. I'll be home soon, babe. I love you." I smiled.

"I love you, too, Dyl." We hung up and I walked back into our room and finished picking up a bit. I grabbed my phone again and texted Kassidy.

Me: what are you doing this weekend? I'm finally free on a weekend😫

I've been working at the elementary school since the August after I graduated. I love it so much, but I always end up grading things on weekends and when I'm not grading, dylan always tells me we have plans, so I made sure I could hang out with Kassidy this weekend. I haven't seen her since Mardi Gras, which was in February.

Babes🖤😘: IM COMING OVER RIGHT NOW ILL BE THERE IN A FEW HOURS

Babes🖤😘: DAMNIT NEVER MIND it's your anniversary, so I'm not going to come today. I'll be there tomorrow afternoon😊

Me: 😂😂 alright. I'll tell dylan when he get home from the store

Babes🖤😘: pssshhhh dylan loves me💁🏻

Me: yeah. He never complains or anything when I tell him your coming. I think it's because we don't make him feel like a third wheel😂😂

Babes🖤😘: TRUE! I don't get it tbh. We always include dylan, but never include Aaron

Aaron is Kassidy's boyfriend of three years. He's a dick. He's never included because he excludes himself. That's his fault.

Me: that's because Aaron is a dickwad and he doesnt like me and excludes himself from everything we do. Dylans a sweetheart, loves you and includes himself in everything we do

Me: I try with Aaron, kass. It's him that doesn't try. You know that

Babes🖤😘: I know 😔 that's why I always go to you instead of you coming to me. And besides, I don't know how much longer Aaron and I will be together. He's getting distant

Me: I will cut him if he hurts you, Kassidy. I swear. He better not be cheating. I will kill him.

Babes😍😘: 😂😂 I know you will, and honestly you might have to. I don't know yet. We'll see🤷🏻‍♀️

I will kill him. I don't even care. Don't fuck with my best friend. I don't mess around. Okay, so I won't actually kill him, but he will fear me.
