Chapter 6

{September 26, 2016}
"Maddyyyyyy!" Dylan whined through the phone. I laughed.

"What, Dyl?" I asked quietly. It's almost four thirty and I'm home with my stepmom, as she doesn't work today. I was on the phone with dylan.

"I want to meet you." He said. "Come to LA." I laughed again.

"I don't have the money for that, Dylan." I sighed.

"I'll pay for you." He said quickly. I scoffed.

"I'm not asking you to do that nor will I ever ask you to do that nor will I ever allow you to do that." I said. As much as I'd love to go to Los Angeles, I don't want him to pay for me. How can he even afford that?

"Fine then I'll fly to Louisiana." I thought I heard him mumbled.

"Dylan, why don't you tell me anything about yourself?" I asked quietly. We'd been talking for over two months and I barely know him. I know that he's eighteen, nineteen on November second, he lives in Los Angeles, and his full name is Dylan Luke Dauzat. That's pretty much it besides his favorites, like color, food, movie, etc.

"I will one day, babe, just-" he sighed. "Just not yet." I giggled quietly when he called me 'babe.'

"Why are you giggling?" He laughed.

"Because of something I read." I lied. He made a 'mhm' noise, so I smirked and hung up on him. I know he's going to call me back, but oh well. I stared at the ceiling. Is it possible to like someone you've never met in person and barely know anything about? Dylan is such a sweet and kind person, it's so hard to not fall for him. Plus, he's really funny, and well, you know what they say funny guys make you fall in love without even realizing it. My phone kept ringing, but I just ignored it. I looked at my phone and saw four missed calls and three texts from dylan. I rolled my eyes and red the texts.

Dylan: you're mean😭

Dylan: I would say I can't believe you hung up on me, but I can because you do it all the time

Dylan: you're lucky that you're cute and I like you😂

I really am lucky, aren't I? Well that he likes me, not that I'm cute. I'm not cute. He's just a liar.

Me: I AM NOT CUTE YOU LIAR!

Dylan: YES YOU ARE SHUT UP

Me: YOU SHUT UP LOSER

Dylan: MAKE ME😏

Me: IM IGNORING YOU NOW! BYE, NASTY!

Dylan: lol sure

After a few minutes later he texted again.

Dylan: Mads?

And again.

Dylan: 😭😭 NOOOOOO COME BACK I MISS YOU ALREADY

That's funny, he thinks I'll actually answer him right now. That poor, poor boy.

Two hours later, dylan had continued to text me, most of them consisted of just 'Maddy' and the rest were just that he missed me.

Dylan: I'm really sad now because you have ignored me for two hours. TWO HOURS STRAIGHT! What kind of monster😭😭

I decided to answer him because he doesn't give up and it's kind of annoying. Cute, but annoying.

Me: aww, dylan, don't be sad. How can you be sad when you have me 💁🏼

Dylan: YOU'RE BACK YAY

Me: yeah, but now I have to go eat dinner and if i so much as look at my phone, my stepmom will flip her shit😫 so I'll text you when I'm finished eating

Dylan: awww, okay😔
